Create a UML Deployment Diagram

Open a Microsoft Visio 2010UML template.

1. On the ribbon,click the File tab,and then click New.

2. Click Software andDatabase, and then clickUML Model Diagram.

3. To create a new UML diagram,click Create.

Create a Deployment Diagram.

1. On the left navigation bar,in Model Explorer,right-click Top Package.

2. Click New, and then clickDeployment Diagram.

Define the Stereotypes.

1. On the ribbon,click the UML tab.

2. Click Stereotypes,and then click New.

3. Type the name of thestereotype.

4. From the drop-down list,select the Base Class.

Drag shapes onto page.

Annotate the diagramwith notes and constraints.

1. Drop the note or constraintonto the page.

2. Double-click the note or

constraint to edit properties.3. Associate the note or

constraint with an entityby dragging the controlhandle to an entity shape.

The note or constraint

will appear in theentitys properties.
