Watch our video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJ6jdf2lwxY

It’s as easy to 1-2-3...

1. Understand why this health topic is important for your CPP students:

Read the purpose, goals, learning outcomes and supporting data.

2. Print or post promotional materials that work for you!

-We’ve created and included signage.

-Print them out to post in a high traffic area.

-Have students that are returning to campus read and sign student acknowledgement.

3. Learn by Doing: Plan an activity or virtual outreach event to help students learn about ways to

prevent COVID-19.

-Instructions for student activities are included in your toolkit. They’re easy to facilitate,

educational, and interactive! Students love them.

During this unprecedented time, it is crucial we take measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

We all play a role in protecting each other and the Cal Poly Pomona campus from COVID-19.

This toolkit provides educational materials for all essential faculty, staff and students returning to

campus during Fall 2020.

Looking for materials to print, post or share to prevent the spread of COVID-19 among the CPP

community? Look no further! We’ve created and compiled these materials especially for you and

the safety of our faculty, staff and students. Feel free to print signage, post on social media or

share with students through powerpoints and syllabi.

CPP students, staff, faculty returning to campus during Fall 2020

Implement in Fall semester 2020 and use indefinitely

• To educate students on how to stop the spread of COVID-19

• To educate students on symptoms related to COVID-19

1. Know appropriate behaviors to follow to stop the spread of COVID-19.

2. Know how to appropriately cope with stress during the COVID-19 pandemic.

3. Identify the symptoms related to COVID-19.

• We realize that certain behaviors are part of our world and we work to minimize harmful effects

rather than simply ignore or condemn them.

• We understand human behavior in regards to health is a complex, multi-faceted phenomenon

that encompasses a continuum of behaviors from severe abuse to total abstinence, and

acknowledge that some behaviors are clearly safer than others.

• We provide non-judgmental, non-coercive services and resources to people who engage in

certain behaviors and the communities in which they live in order to assist them in reducing harm.

• We affirm people themselves as the primary agents of reducing the harms of their behaviors, and

seek to empower them to share information and support each other in strategies which meet them

where they are at.

Mask and Face Covering Challenge!

If each of us wears a mask, everyone is protected! Promote mask wearing by hosting an online

mask or face covering contest.

Here are some suggestions to host a contest within your community, department, class or

office:

DirectionsAsk participants to upload a photo of themselves wearing a mask on social media and tag

your account or use a specific hashtag to enter the contest. Offer participants the option to

submit their photo via email, direct message or other options too.

Decide if you want to create different categories for the mask contest. Here are some ideas for

categories: Best overall mask, most creative mask, funny mask, holiday themed mask, Bronco

pride mask, etc.

Determine how and who decides on the winner of the mask contest. Will the photos be

posted online for anyone to vote or will there be a panel of judges? Will there be prizes for the

winner(s)?

*Bonus contest submission* ask participants to submit a statement with their photo sharing why

they think it is so important to wear a mask to stop the spread of coronavirus.
