 Don’t use full sentences: ex. “The best dog tricks ever.”

 Include all pertinent keywords: ex. “chevy cavalier 2001 replace brake pad”

 Utilize Boolean operators to find more (or less) results

 Mobile browser (m.youtube.com): Tap the drop-down menu next to the search box YouTube for iOS: Tap the filter icon YouTube for Android: Tap the filters  at the top of the search screen results

SubscriptionsSubscribe to your favorite channels and receive updates whenever new videos are added.

 How to Subscribe

From a video: Click on the ‘Subscribe’ button located beneath the video.

From the Channel home page: Click on the ’Subscribe’ button located near the header.

Access your subscriptions and see how many new videos have been added by clicking on the YouTube Menu .

Video Controls

Full-screen: fills the screen with the video. Hit the Esc

button to get out of full-screen.

Share

 Send the video to your social media account. Copy and paste the code to embed the video

into other projects. Send the video in an email.

Sharing and MoreReminder: many of these functions require that you sign in.

Turning Off AdsNote: Not all adds are removable.

Viewing YouTube in the Chrome Browser

1. Sign in to Google.

2. Go to the Chrome Store (type in Chrome Web Store in the search engine) and search for ‘Ad Block YouTube’.

3. Download a program. Ads will be blocked on YouTube as long as you are signed in.

More Tips

 Still getting commercials? Wait 5 seconds and click the ‘Skip Video’ button on the right side of the video to go to your chosen video.

 

 

 Try refreshing your browser at the beginning of the ad.

Play and pause the video by touching the video directly.

Make the video full screen.

Rate a video with a thumbs up or thumbs down.

Tip

Get back to your results by dragging your finger from the top-left corner down to the bottom-right corner. Note: If you did not pause the video, it will continue to play in the bottom-right

corner of the screen.
