October 2019 1 How to upload your written assessment This information will guide you through the process of collating and uploading your written assessments. Step by Step Instructions 1. Once you have completed each assessment you are required to electronically upload your submission directly to the assessor for marking (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and PDF only). Our system accepts a maximum of 5 documents with an upload limit of 1.9GB. If you have more than 5 documents to submit, there are various ways of collating your submission to upload: You may prefer to merge some PDF documents. You can also embed documents into your assessment You may provide a zipped file with all your documents. 2. Now access the AAMC Training website www.aamctraining.edu.au and sign into the AAMC Members’ Area. Enter your username and password which was issued to you via email upon enrolment for your course. See detailed instructions on how to achieve these three options at the end of this document.

How to upload your written assessment

This information will guide you through the process of collating and uploading your written

assessments.

Step by Step Instructions

1. Once you have completed each assessment you are required to electronically upload your

submission directly to the assessor for marking (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and

PDF only).

Our system accepts a maximum of 5 documents with an upload limit of 1.9GB.

If you have more than 5 documents to submit, there are various ways of collating

your submission to upload:

You may prefer to merge some PDF documents.

You can also embed documents into your assessment

You may provide a zipped file with all your documents.

2. Now access the AAMC Training website www.aamctraining.edu.au and sign into the AAMC Members’ Area. Enter your username and password which was issued to you via email

upon enrolment for your course.

3. Select ‘Course Content and Assessments’ from your Members Area Dashboard.

4. Click on the pencil icon in the View Assessments column to populate the list of

assessments for your course.

5. Scroll down to find the assessment you want to upload. Click Upload Assessment from

the column under “Upload OR Commence Assessment”.

6. Read through the information on this page and then select “Upload assessment”.

7. Select “Upload your assessment” from the next pop-up.

8. Attach your first file by clicking “Browse”.

9. Select your file and click “Open”

10. The name of your file will now appear next to the ‘Browse’ box. Once you can see this

then click on “Upload”. Please allow the system to process your attachment – this may take a few minutes depending on the size of your attachment.

11. A new window will appear saying:

If you have another file to upload, click OK. If not, click Cancel.

12. You will need to confirm that the work you have submitted is your own by checking the box. Then click “Continue.”

13. You will then see the name of the file/s you have uploaded, if this is all you wish to submit

then click “Submit Uploaded Files”. If you have uploaded an incorrect file, you can delete the attachment and start the upload process again by clicking on Upload Another File.

14. You have now submitted your written assessment and will be contacted within 5-10

working days with a result.

How to embed files in your assessment (PC version word document)

To embed a document that's already been created:

1. In your word document, go to a new line where you wish to insert the document and select the Insert tab from the main ribbon menu.

2. From the Text options, select the arrow to the right of this Object icon:

3. Click on the Object option.

4. Select the Create from File tab and then click Browse to find the file you want to insert.

You must select Display as icon, then OK.

Linked documents we can accept are: Excel Word PDF PowerPoint

PLEASE NOTE IF YOU ARE SUPPLYING LINKED DOCUMENTS

YOU MUST UPLOAD THE WORD DOCUMENT, NOT A PDF –

WE ARE NOT ABLE TO OPEN THE LINKED DOCUMENTS

FROM A PDF.

How to zip files for assessment upload

Windows:

- Firstly you will need to locate the files you want to compress.

To do this ensure all your files are saved to the same location.

- Then you must highlight the files you want to select – you can do this by holding CTRL

and individually clicking each of them or by holding SHIFT and then clicking and

dragging your mouse over the files you want

- Once selected right click on one of the highlighted documents, select send to and

then select Compressed Zipped folder.

- This will then create your zip folder. Rename the folder something suitable.

MAC:

- Firstly you must find all the documents you want to compress

- Highlight the files then right click on one of the highlighted items to bring up the popup

menu.

- Select Compress items to create your zip file.

- Rename the folder something suitable.

iOS devices

- You must install Zipped to be able to zip files and extract zipped files in iOS.

Android devices:

- Firstly you must install WinRar to zip files on an android device.

- Use the app to locate the files you want to compress, ensure all the files are saved to

one location you can find easily.

Once Zipped is installed,

open the app and tap the

box to select files.

Select the files you want,

and tap Done. This will

take you back to Zipped.

Once back in Zipped, you

can decide to save the

.zip file or share it.

For uploading to the

AAMC Training LMS you

would want to save it.

For emailing you would

select share.

To create the Zip file ensure you

have selected Zip and then name

the file so that you can easily

remember the name and what’s

inside of the folder.

To locate the newly zipped folder

you can select the pull-out menu

on the left hand side of the app

you can use this to share the folder

through other apps on your device.

To locate the folder on your device

you will need to look through your

devices files. Mine was saved to

(DOWNLOADS).

First you will need to select the

folder to explore through your

devices folders.

Folders will save differently on

separate devices so make sure you

are familiar with the location of

where the file has been saved

Once you have found the files that

you want to compress, select each

of them by selecting the check box

on the right of the item.

Once selected hit the highlighted

button at the top of the page
