Hootsuite is a social media management tool that supports Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn,and Google+ among many other social media platforms. Hootsuite is often used forscheduling posts so they go out at the best time to reach an audience, or when a socialmedia manager is asleep or on vacation. This tutorial will show you how to schedule apost, specifically to Twitter and Google+, and assumes that you have already signed upand linked your social media pages to Hootsuite.

1. Log in to HootsuiteEnter your login information and sign in.

2. Check out your home screenThis is what your homescreen should look like after you log in. You can toggle betweenyour social media pages by using the tabs on the lefthand side. This allows you to seewhat is going on with each of your networks in one place. To start posting, hover overor click on "Compose message," which will expand your posting area.



3. Enter the text for your postWrite your post and select the pages you want to see your post on.



4. Add a linkIf you want to add a link, copy and paste it into the hyperlink box to shrink it. This isespecially helpful for Twitter, since long links can look messy and may take up morecharacters.



5. Preview your postIf you selected Twitter, you will see how many characters you have left. If you selectedGoogle+, you will see a thumbnail preview if it's available.



6. AutoSchedule your post...To AutoSchedule your post to go out at the best time the same day, click on thecalendar icon and toggle AutoSchedule to on. To send it out, hit AutoSchedule!



7. ...or just schedule itTo schedule for a specific day or time, toggle AutoSchedule to off, select the day andtime you would like your post to go out, and then hit Schedule.



8. Check your scheduled post in PublisherTo check your post, hover over the paper airplane on the left hand side and click onPublisher. If you posted more than one to go out at the same time, that will show with anumber on the icon. Click on it to expand and see more information.
