HOW TO REGISTER FOR CHIPPENHAM DUPLICATE PAIRS EVENT Prerequisites:

• You should have registered with BBO; • added some BB$ to your account; • Log into BBO using your username and password at least 10 minutes before the

event is due to start. Procedure

1. After logging in you will be in the playing area. Select Competitive from the PLAY OR WATCH BRIDGE menu as circled in red below.

2. This takes you into all of the competitive tournaments and other games. Select All Tournaments as circled in red below.

3. This takes you to a list of all pending / running / complete tournaments. You should be on the Pending Tournaments as highlighted in the screenshot below. There is a search area at the right-hand side (circled below in red). Select this search and type in Chippenham and the number of tournaments will reduce to just our tournament. Our tournament should be in the list about 1-2 hours ahead of the scheduled start time. Select the tournament title and this allows you to register for the tournament.

4. The example below is for another tournament but you should get an idea of how search is used. Select tournament title.

5. This will bring up the registration page which has Register / Details / Entries / Partnership Desk.

To register with a partner simply put your partner’s username and press invite. I have shown example of a paid tournament.

6. To see details about the event press Details.

7. To see the entries, press Entries (n max m).

8. To find a partner or go onto the partner desk press Partnership Desk. You can add your name to this so that others wanting a partner in this event can come to this page and have a chat with you before inviting you as a partner.

9. Getting a partner for the singles is done using the Partnership Desk. Best to put your name on this early if you want a game. Other single players can then chat to you before you both agree to partner.

To chat to a player, select their name on the left. This brings up a dialogue with players profile. Select Show Chat and this gives a bigger chat area for you to discuss playing systems etc and agreeing to play before you invite.

When the tournament starts you will automatically be taken to your starting table.
