How to Install the software to connect to the Siae radio

The next pages display in order the software and drivers required to connect to the ALCPlus 2 radios.You can connect to the Siae via an SCT console or IE/Firefox. The steps below are required to loadthe software:

1. Install SCT software2. Install WebLCT Console v1.1.43. Install Flashplayer4. Install OnLine Help file for LCT Web Browser

Install SCT 4.6.8.2 setup.exe

Select Subnetwork Craft Terminal when prompted

Follow the below prompts once you have connected your USB printer cable to the Siae IDU

Specify the location where the USB driver is stored on your hard drive, ErioConnUSBdirect

Press the Finish button

You will see the sw has now loaded. Press the Connect button

You are now connected to the SCT

WebLCT console

Now you need to install the WebLCT console

Go to where you have saved the Dist 1.1.4 sw

Run the setup executable file

Hit the Finish button

The Web LCT Console will automatically open

This is the Web LCT Console look like. Just close this session. This console is just required to run inthe background.

You will notice on the bottom right hand corner web LCT Console is displayed in the shortcut bar. Thisneeds to be open inorder to run the Web browser and Help function. Keep following these pages formore instruction.

Install Flashplayer

This enables you to log into the Siae radio via IE or Firefox. This connection is faster. However youneed to know the IP address of the radio. You can find this out from the SCT sw.

To install Flash you use one of the two below flash players, dependant on the web browser you use.

IE Use ActiveX

Firefox Use Plug-in

You are now ready to connect to the Siae radio using IE or Firefox. If you know the IP address of theradio, ensure you change the IP address of your laptop so it is within the IP address range of the radioyou need to connect to.Make sure you set your default address to the IP address of the radio you are connecting to. This willenable you to connect to the far end radio.

Type in the address of the Siae radio, in this example the Near end address is 172.16.100.194

Ensure you enable pop ups

You are now connected to the Web Browser

Online Help Function

There is an Online Help feature with the Web browser, follow the next set of steps to install this handytool.You need to locate the file Web Lct Help Pdh ALC + 2 (English) and run the file.

Hit the Close button

Connect to the ALCPlus2 to confirm and press Help
