GATE Application Form is available from today 1st September 2015 and the last date to apply is 1st October, 2015. The GATE Application Form 2016 can be filled through the GOAPS (GATE Online Application Processing System) here: http://appsgate.iisc.ernet.in/Guru Update brings you the Step by Step Guide of How to Fill GATE Application Form 2016.

The Steps for filling the GATE Application Form 2016 are as follows:1. GATE Application Form 2016 is available only online and cannot be filled by any other mode. So First Open the Website: http://appsgate.iisc.ernet.in/ and Click on “New User? Register Here”. Enter your Name, Email address and Phone Number to Register.

2. After completing the Registration you will get a unique Enrolment address on your Email id and Mobile Number. Now Login with your Enrolment Id/ Email address and Password.





3. After you complete the Login process Click on Edit Application Form and proceed.





4. Enter the GATE 2016 Exam Details: Select the Paper for which you want to appear for in GATE 2016 and also select the three Examination Cities. Before selecting the Paper please go through the GATE Eligibility Criteria 2016 to check whether you can appear for the same or not.






5. Enter your Personal Details: You have to enter your personal details in this section. Your Name, Email Address, Mobile Number and Enrolment Id will be there already. You need to enter the name of your parent/guardian, mobile number of parent/guardian and your Date of birth. Also you have to select your Gender, Nationality, Category and whether you are a Person with Disability.





6. Enter Communication Details: You will have to enter your communication details including your complete address and any one Id proof details.





7. Enter Qualifying Degree Details: You have to select the Qualifying Degree, Discipline of Qualifying Degree and the status of qualifying degree. You also have to input the Name and address of your College/University.





8. Upload Documents: You have to upload the following documents: Photograph, Signature and Certificate from Principal/HOD. *Please Note: Kindly upload the Documents in the prescribed size and format. Also before uploading do check the Samples of documents to be uploaded in the Information Brochure.





9. Declaration and Form Submission: Accept the GATE 2016 Declaration and Click on Submit and Proceed to Payment.





10. Complete the Payment Procedure and Print the

Application: After completing all the above steps you need to complete the Payment procedure for GATE 2016. You may choose one of the methods:

i) Online Payment method: Select the Online Payment Method and pay via Credit Card/Debit Card or Net Banking.

ii) E-Challan method: Select the E-Challan method, then print the generated Challan and go to any branch of State Bank of India and pay the amount as per your category.
