How to Exit SofTest in Case of an Emergency and Later Resume the Test - 1 How to Exit SofTest in Case of an Emergency and Later Resume the Test Learn how to exit a SofTest exam in case of an an emergency. The following instructions will show you how to exit a SofTest exam in a manner in which it can be resumed at a later time. You must follow these steps exactly. Power Down the Computer No matter what screen you are on in SofTest (ExamSoft) press and hold the computer's power (on/off) button until the computer shuts down. How to Exit SofTest in Case of an Emergency and Later Resume the Test

Learn how to exit a SofTest exam in case of an an emergency. The following instructions will show you how to exit a SofTest exam in a manner in which it can be resumed at a later time. You must follow these steps exactly.

Power Down the Computer

No matter what screen you are on in SofTest (ExamSoft) press and hold the computer's power (on/off) button until the computer shuts down. This usually takes 5-10 seconds of holding the power button. Once the computer has powered off, exit the room via the usual emergency exits.

How to Exit SofTest in Case of an Emergency and Later Resume the Test - 2

Resume an Exam

Press the on/off button to turn the computer on. SofTest will allow you to resume your exam at the location you exited.

Note: If SofTest requests a Universal Response code to continue your exam, please contact your ExamSoft monitor. When you log back in your marked questions under the question navigator will be cleared and also the SofTest alarm or reminder alarm will be cleared.
