How to Enable Configuration Modein Dynamics NAV 2013

Configuration mode is a setting in Microsoft Dynamics NAVthat allows you to customize

the user interface (UI) for a particular role It will ena!le an Administrator or "uper User

to customize a profile themsel#es and then assign it to different users $hat way% the

users (especially no#ice users) will not ha#e to go through the pain of customizing their

profile% !ut allow someone else to customize it for them

&ere are the steps to ena!ling Configuration Mode 'hile you are in this mode% all of the

modifications you mae will !e applied to eeryonethat will !e assigned this particular

role

) In NAV% na#igate to the *rofiles +ist,

-Company Name./Departments/Administration/Application "etup/0ole$ailored

Client/*rofiles

1 "elect the *rofile that you would lie to use as a template (eg *ro2ect Manager)

3 In the Actions 0i!!on% clic Copy *rofile

$his will prompt you to name the new *rofile

*lease note that this step is meant to preser#e the default profile roles offered in

Dynamics NAV 4y copying a profile and then modifying that copy% this will

ensure that the original profile role will remain the same
