How to Determine Time ConstraintThis question is Assumed Answered.
Hi SAP HR Gurus, Good day. I noticed that usually in Table T777D there's the a field Time Constraint Table. For some entries theones maintained are T591A or T591B. However, there are entries that have blank Time ConstraintTable. With this, I would just like to ask how to determine the time constraint (1 / 2 / 3) for every infotypes /subtype? Is there a corresponding standard transaction for this? Thank you in advance for your help. Best regards.Brando

Re: How to Determine Time Constraint
Hi, In Table V_T582A (Infotype Attributes), you determine the Time Constraint classes for alll theinfotypes. Time constraint classes are determined based on the purpose and expectedbehaviour of the Infotype. RegardsChandrashekar

Re: How to Determine Time Constraint
For subtype dependent infotypes time constraint is maintained in T591A and for infotypes timeconstraint is maintained in T582A. Regards,Sandip

Hello, Actually, the one you should refer is V_T582A Infotype Attributes, then refer to field Time Constraint (ZEITB) V_T591A Subtype Characteristics. If on the previous table you find that ZEITB = T, then the entriesare detailed on this table. Here are the details regarding Time Constraint, from the documentationA time constraint indicates whether more than one infotype record may be available at one time. Thefollowing time constraint indicators are permissible: 1: An infotype record must be available at all times. This record may have no time gaps. You may notdelete the record last stored on the database because all records of this infotype would otherwise bedeleted.2: Only one record may be available at one time, but time gaps are permitted.3: Any number of records may be valid at one time, and time gaps are permitted. Other possible time constraint indicators are as follows: A: Only one record may ever exist for this infotype. It is valid from 01/01/1800 to 12/31/9999. Splittingis not permissible.View V_T582B Infotypes Which are Created Automically controls whether the system automaticallycreates the infotype record for an employee hiring or an applicant data entry action.Infotypes with time constraint A may not be deleted.B: Only one record may ever exist for this infotype. It is valid from 01/01/1800 to 12/31/9999. Splittingis not permissible.Infotypes with time constraint B may be deleted.T: The time constraint varies depending on the subtype.Z: Refers to time management infotypes. The time constraint for these infotypes depends on the timeconstraint class defined in view V_T554S_I Absence: General Control. Collision checks are defined inview V_T554Y Time Constraint Reaction.
