goals. We feel like we are goingto go out and compete withevery team on our scheduleevery Friday night. We havethe same expectations thatwe have every year."

Coach Lester on the GTCEast: "Until someone is able toknock off Ubly, there is no rea-son not to put them at the top- they have a great program.Sandusky, Brown City andHarbor Beach all have verygood players coming back. Allthree are well coached andprepared teams. Our team justhopes to go out every Fridaynight and compete. We justneed to go out and be consis-tent every Friday night. Weneed to play great defense, notturn the ball over, and playgood special teams. If we cando this, we'll make a run at theplayoffs."

"This year's team has shown upfocused and ready to go! They are anexcited group of girls. We have a veryyoung team, but our three seniors areexcellent leaders and solid players.They are doing a great job of taking theyounger girls under their wings. Myunderclassmen are a talented group....and are very driven. (The team) isworking well together and seem tomesh well. We are a very solid servingteam. The team is moving well andcovering a lot of ground, which hasbeen a problem for us in the past. Wealso have good size."

Coach Bussey on the NCTL: "Ourleague is always tough, but we will takeone game at a time. I'm hoping that ournew schedule (North Division foesfirst) will benefit us. It will be nice tosave our top teams for mid-season.Hopefully, by that time we will haveour confidence built up."

MHSAA Network begins its fourth seasonEAST LANSING — Aug. 22 – The

fourth season of high school sportscoverage by the MHSAA Network getsunderway this week, with all of the con-tent making its cable and online debutbeginning Aug. 31.

The flagship production of theNetwork is MHSAA Game Night, whichairs at 7 p.m. on Wednesdays onComcast Channel 900. Game Nightkicks off its fourth season with anOakland Activities Association-MacombArea Conference crossover gamebetween Troy and Romeo. The twoteams will meet at Romeo on Thursday(Aug. 25) at 7 p.m.

Three other gridiron games will befeatured this week. Friday (Aug. 26)

The goals for this seasonare to be as competitive as possi-ble, while growing the skill level ofeveryone.”
