How our mind works. ..
Welcome to all...
For thousands of years we humans have been studying
how our conscious brain-mind works, intentionally. If you
know how it works, then you can make it work better.
Over the last 50 years this research has proceeded in
earnest, with success. We now know how boutons ideate.
Bouton Ideation; this is the key insight you will learn today.
Intentional self-programming via idea alignment, creating
and linking better bouton memory arrays is easy; if you
know how. That practical “know how” will be taught today.
Note: a bouton is a mind pixel. They piece into ideas. ..

1. Gary is a Cornell educated Cognitive Scientist of
long standing (Behavioral Economics 1973).
2. Known for making important contributions to
bouton ideation (circa 1987) his work is aligned
with Kant, Peirce, Cajal, Hebb, Eccles, & Kandel.
3. He’s called a serial entrepreneur, starting four
successful AI software firms; the last being the
ISOxPERT™ (software for ISO 9000 automation).
4. Gary with his nephew Michael Deines are the co-
founders of the Cognitive Computing Expert (CCE)
meet-ups. Now with 800+ members in 10 cities.
Cognitive Science is new. It’s to complicated for one
person to know-it-all. With his ontology Gary is close.
Today he will share both common CogSci knowledge
and insights from his original research. His goal is to
deliver bouton insights that create Cognitive Leaders. [email protected]

Cognitive Science ≠ Psychology..
To be true, there is a one-to-one direct relationship
between ideas and physical reality. Therefore, all
physical laws apply directly into the ideological world.
For example:
• Feelings wave like energy and reasoned ideas
are instantiated; they are more tangible matters.
• There’s a correlation between feelings/reason like
there is a conversion between energy/matter.
• Ideas have a quantum life cycle; evolving chunks.
• Both ideas and real stuff assemble and decay
over time; they both have their useful spacetime.
• Ideas of things are energetic; they have power.
Psychology is not based on an energy transfer reality.
Instead it’s based on “talking it out” to a useful result.
Boutons are physical things that behave consistently.
They act (grow/decline/fire) using the physical laws.

Learning Objectives ..
There are only three things you need to
understand to get smarter.
• What is a bouton?
• What is an idea?
• How do I ideate myself & others?
Once these three insights are fully
understood, then you can consciously
re-program yourself; to subtly lead.
Attendees learn how to bouton mindset
map themselves and others, for impact. To predict outcomes, boutons
look four-ways. Then they
swarm behavior intelligence.

Definition of 3 terms ..
Only three things to understand.
• A bouton is a physical growth at the
end of a neuron axon. They gate
decisions and actions (are mind pixels).
• An idea is a SOP (subject-object-
predicate) representation of reality.
• Ideation is a recurring conscious
process of fitting male/female ideas
into an intentional ideal (the assembly).
If you know and apply the mechanics of
bouton ideation, then you get smarter. To predict outcomes, boutons
look four-ways. Then they
optimize behavior intelligence.

What is mind? ~~~
In this course we focus on
the human mind system.
But don’t be anthropomorphic.
Brain is physical (real stuff)
Mind is ideological (form of stuff)
These two one-to-one interrelate...
A Mind System:
1. Starts with intent
2. Can senses its surroundings
3. Judges situations
4. Instructs desired action
5. Learns correlations; the causal intellect
6. Remembers in advance; foreknowledge

Insight Delivered ..
Human mind clicks predictive insights
via symbolic piecework. Probable
answers are intentionally assembled.
Sensations that rise to consciousness
are four-step factored, as follows:
1. Foreknowledge hypothesized?
2. DIKW mapped/framed/understood
3. Assembly/disassembly array acted
4. Ontological symbolism remembered
People can now four-step intelligence,
from category to intentional assembly.
Predictive Symbols axiomatize
situational intents, in probable
clicks, for a more enjoyable life.
Intelligence is a bouton swarm-up (a quadation).

Training Method ..
We will be going back and forth between
the physical (neurons, boutons, and real
things) and the ideological; the naming
and sensing of what is and what can be.
Thoughts cause reality and our reality
causes good thinking. We learn power.
Each person cannot be all things; need a
focus. However, you can get much better
than you are now & can get more for less.
That delta is the value of bouton ideation.

Accentuate positive, eliminate negative, & forget in-between.
In relation to the current intent:
1. Do you have the Data you need?
2. Has that data been properly turned into Information?
Let’s now use that information (about how a thing is assembled and/or
dissembled) to develop …
3. Procedural Knowledge (action)
4. Policy Wisdom (judgment)

How the conscious mind works.
The Nature of
Consciousness ~~~
In CogSci we do not have a complete
understand of conscious phenomena.
However, we do know that:
• Conscious/awareness is universal,
starting the Big Bang; in-the-things.
• Awareness is more subconscious,
more autonomic and less cognitive.
• Consciousness is situation and self-
aware; reasons probable outcomes.
• Each conscious point is assembled.
Feelings become rational decisions.
• Consciousness comes with intent,
which changes by situation. This
intent is manifested via an ontology.
• Consciousness affects behavior. It
flows from boutons (ex: brain dead).

Section Two:
What is an
idea? ~~~
An idea is a 4D space-time
symbolic representation of reality,
varying in degree of complexity.
Three types of ideas. ..
Symbolic ideas are ideological maps of
physical reality that can be mentally
process (assembled) for a life/death intent.
Idea SOP structure predicts outcomes
(Subject-Object-Predicate = SOP).
• A true idea.
• A false idea.
• Degrees of probability.
Good ideas are true and useful, mostly.
No idea is perfect, fitting all the time.
Seeking more-for-less comes close.
How our mind works? It assembles ideas into catagorized reality maps.
41
Ideas are
symbols ~~~
An idea is a symbol,
the content in context
They 4-way 4D connect.
Symbols in a physical media. ..
The physical media, the real idea form,
radiates its symbol in an energy wave.
• Image
• Icon
• Map
• Phrase
• Corpus
Note: Boutons are also a symbolic medium.
How our mind works.
• Form
• Bits/bytes
• Poem
• Painting
• Sound, etc.
42
Ideas link
recursively ~~~
Each idea is a subset
of the whole picture.
They paint causality.
Symbols describe assembly/decay. ..
An idea in its real-form, radiates its symbolic
form in an energy wave, describing reality.
We can sense these symbolic forms (ideas)
as foreknowledge; before the physicality.
Each idea, each symbol is mentally factored
against current intent to derive best fitness.
Up is what I want. Down is being avoided.
Outside in the local world. Inside is what I
got; resources I can now deploy.

Life wants to live. It learns how.

What is a
good idea? ~~~
Idea goodness is judged in
context of a specific intent.
Ideas are context/contented.
Characteristic of a good idea. ..
Ideas SOP predict outcomes (Subject-
Object-Predicate = SOP). Ideas do this
in recurring levels of assembly.
• True; content fits the assertion.
• Useful; can take action.
• Appropriate; high result percent.
• Timely: judge before doing.
There are many ideas to choose. The
vast majority are not good in relation to
my current objective and situation.

Factual ideas
vs. concepts
Factual ideas are tautologies.
Conceptual ideals categorize
A judged POV abstraction.
Factual Ideas..
Conceptual, POV Ideals
Factual reality is observed and can be tested.
Data facts to information ideals = intentional data.
46
Subject vs.
object ideas.
Subjective ideas affect (intend).
Objective ideas effect (extend).
All ideas affect and effect.
Every thing has an intention,
.
that we observe and learn
via its contextual extension.
How our SOP mind works, intentionally assembling.
A/E is a recursive process. Stuff fits or not.
47
Things vs.

Things are nouns.
Verbs are actions.

Ideas in sum... ..
Ideas instruct behaviors...
Human intelligence chunks into ideas and
ideals that model and affect outcomes. An
idea is a discrete piece of natural action.
They are used to define causality, creating

4. in relation to a
5. stated life goal.

contain learned foreknowledge.
JAD is how ideas work in concert. JAD connects the ideals.
52
Section Three:
How do
boutons ideate ~~~
A bouton is a memory bit.
An idea is a behavior chunk.
How is intelligence programmed?
We all want more for less. ..
Each day, in each life, more opportunity
is introduced. Yet few of us can adapt
our thinking to exploit these new points.
A great-mind is both fixed and flexible,
at the same time. It’s a conscious thing.
• What to do now is a judgment.
• How to do it is an action.
Boutons JAD (Judge and Do). Ideate to
the opportunity and not to the mindset.
Programming intelligence is easy, if you know how.
53
Let’s define
ideation ~~~
What do I now want?.
What is practical to expect?
How do I JAD step there?
Ideation means... ..
To form an idea of; to imagine or conceive.
To think. The intentional, structural process
of forming useful ideas for life.
To ideate, we are focused on one named
entity and are thinking about what causes
the assembly or destruction of that thing.
You would then examine multiple points of
view about that object. Ideation is normally
OSHM multidimensional assembly/decay.
Ideation is a conscious process. It’s object
is intended; a coherent and integrated plan
of action. Ideation is also situational.
Make bouton ideation can become a conscious skill.
54
Ways to say...
boutons ideate ~~~
Learning happens.
Intelligence does exist.
Some know more that others.
Rationalize the intuitive. ..
... those rose colored glasses.
Thoughts cause behaviors, every time.
Great content in the right context; this
must be the recurring foundation.
Ideas are not dead things, but contain the
potency of life in them.
The decisions of our past are the architects
of our future (because it builds bouton pathways).
The great mind is both fixed and flexible, at
the same time; an adaptive consciousness.
Being now is a previous state of existence.
Intellect is insufficient without love,
care, compassion, and empathy.
No man or woman is an island.
... the collective consciousness.
We’ve all felt bouton ideation. Now the logical science.
55
DNA creates ~100b neurons
Experience created ~80t boutons
Consciousness created ~20t boutons
Poor bouton alignment.
This problem can
now be resolved ~~~
Ideological inconsistency; that’s the rub!
Bouton fields are
badly programmed.
Conscious re-ideation resolves mental dissonance.
56
Idea
Assemblies ~~~
Idea goodness is judged in
context of a specific intent.
Context/content/co-relations.
No idea is an island. ..
The Universe (one verse) is a consistent
place. Life laws hold true throughout.
• Things have natural correlations.
• Entropic co-relations (how to break it down).
• Artropic co-relations (how to assemble it up).
What do you want to tear down and/or
build up? JAD plan, then do. It’s easy.
Set your mind to first do the ideological work.
57
Greek logic
mistake... ~~~
Inductive thought judges.
Deductive thought processes.
Intellect judges and then does.
Feeling is now made logical...
Ancient Greek philosophers did a lot of
logical good, but also made a mistake.
They separated induction & deduction.
Because of this, it took a long time to
understand how human mind works.
Mind conducts the answer by linking a
heurism with an algorithm.
• A heurism is an intuitive judgment.
• Algorithms define a stepped process.
Mind links these into JAD scripts. Think
of this as ideological quanta, in array.
Feeling intuits while logic quantizes actions.
58
Judging ideal
fitness quality ~~~
Idea goodness is judged in
context of a specific intent.
Ideas are context/contented ʘ
The Judgment part! ..
Feel, intuit the heurism. Blank out your
mind (go zero-state bouton), to be situation
objective. Then ask and answer:
• Why am I thinking about this?
• Is it now the most important item?
• If so, context/content your intent.
• Then plan assembly or decay action.
Stacking an issue; documenting and
delaying the analysis/action plan is OK.
Remember to give it its proper name.
That accurate name is your mental link-
back (good naming makes remembering easier).
How does a mind works? It judges & does. Then it learns.
59
Doing ideal
behavior ~~~
Break a complicated action
down into stages and steps,
that can be stage completed.
The Doing part! ..
Divide work so that you may focus to
stage completion. Step the activity and
then check quality. It should stay apart
and/or together, depending on intent.
• Take this part.
• Into or out of the whole.
• Have the tools and technique.
• Check-off the quality result.
• Next step please.
It is always easy, bit-by-bit, when you
(Connie) consciously know how.
Enjoy doing all valuable work.
60
Boutons JAD (so should you)
~~~
Ideals must get intentionally
assembled because real things
grow and decay in staged steps.
JAD extends conscious ability..
If you think in a way that is inconsistent
with bouton ideation, then Connie is at
odds with physical reality. Over time,
this incongruity will lead to stupidity.
Boutons ideate OSHM 4-ways to JAD.
Make the software consistent with the hardware.
61
The complete variation in any
• Set context by naming ID domain.
• Establish optimal metrics.
• Understand your customers (you give).
Here is how we write AI-BD-ML-CC:
• Establish fit optimality (one number).
• Define answer range (memory arrays).
• Define question range (input variables).
• Calculate Q to A fitness (OSHM math).
Intellect Domains (IDs) ..
Nobody needs to be all things to all
people. Instead we can divide, name,
and define various intellect domains.
Do this to formally program intelligence.
• I am a???
• This means I can do???
• The situational productivity of each
judgment/actions can be accurately
measured in relations to all others.
Good ideas are true and useful, mostly.
ID Ideology ~~~
If you always know what to do when,
and can learn anew as required,
you will be happy and productive.
Mapping an Intellect Domain ..
Do this to formally program intelligence.
• What judgments must you make?
• What actions must you take?
• How does this vary by situation?
JAD thinking builds the intellect muscle.
How our mind works.
65
Systematic
Ideation ~~~
The short term details, the fitness Di,
trickles up into behavioral action (kw).
Intend, feel, reason, and JAD.
Select an action skill set, then think:
• What do you want, how badly, why?
• Reason how can you get it (practical).
• Judge the situations (feel it).
• Do the actions (connect/disconnect parts).
Repeat process until LTM instantiated.
In this way habits are built & changed.
Repeat thought behaviors from short to long term memory.
works to make it work better.
What to Take-Away? ..
Here is a set of life-changing bouton
insights that you have gained today.
• Mind is real, it’s not an enigma. It can
be directly re-programmed by you.
• Brain is physical, mind is ideological,
and consciousness is intentional. All
three are content into life opportunity.
• Good ideas are situational. You must
first judge before you do (JAD).
• No idea is perfect. Ideas assemble
piecework; OSHM simple to complex.
• Dikw builds up OSHM recursion. JAD
units assemble the practical causality.
• Bouton power; use it or lose it. Swarm
align boutons for the good of us all.
Dikw builds OSHM recognized, JAD behaviors.
