How Do I Receive God’s Free Gift
Have you heard the GOOD NEWS?
You are already forgiven and loved by God!
“He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us
into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption
through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.” Colossians 1:13-14
God only has eyes of love for YOU! Do you want to know and
experience His love? It’s REAL and it’s not based on your behavior
or anything you could ever do to earn or merit it. Do you know for
certain that if you died today you would go to heaven? The good
news is that God’s Word says you can know! Here is some information
on how to receive God’s free gift of eternal life and begin your
love relationship with Him.
YOU ARE LOVED!
Everlasting life is a gift from God. When Jesus Christ died on
the cross and rose bodily from the grave, He paid for our sins,
John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only
begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish,
but have everlasting life.”
YOU JUST HAVE TO RECEIVE IT
Since Jesus paid for this gift, we don’t have to. We only need
to receive it.
John 1:12, “But as many as received Him, to them He gave power
to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His
name.”
THERE’S NOTHING YOU CAN DO TO EARN IT
Ephesians 2:8-9, “For by grace you have been saved through
faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of
works, lest anyone should boast.”
WHEN YOU RECEIVE WHAT JESUS DID FOR YOU AT THE CROSS,
GOD NO LONGER SEES YOUR SIN
Hebrews 8:12, “For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness,
and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no
more.”
2 Corinthians 5:21, “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin
for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”
NOTHING YOU CAN DO WILL EVER SEPARATE YOU FROM GOD’S LOVE
Romans 8:38-39, “For I am persuaded that neither death nor life,
nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor
things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing,
shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in
Christ Jesus our Lord.”
The way to receive God’s gift is to simply believe God’s Word
and receive it by the profession of your mouth.
Romans 10:9-10, “If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus
and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead,
you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto
righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto
salvation.”
Now, pray this prayer aloud:
Lord Jesus, thank you for loving me and dying for me on the
cross. Your precious blood washes me clean from every sin. You are
my Lord and Savior, now and forever. I believe that You rose
from the dead and that You are alive today. Because of Your
finished work, I am now a beloved child of God and heaven is my
home. Thank you for giving me eternal life, and filling my heart
with Your peace and joy. Amen.
You are now “saved” or “born again”!
