DESCRIPTION

Hello Readers, Before meeting Dadashri my whole life was focused on earning money. Well that may be the case for most of us. Isn’t it? In this issue, let’s understand the science governing ‘Money’ – whether it can be earned through Hard-work or use of intellect? May be there is something in this context which cannot be perceived through ordinary thinking. Everyone likes profit, but no one likes loss. How does the mechanism of profit and loss work? Dadashri’s deep insight revealing this principle is unparallel which aims to direct the use of money in the right sense. A strange but unique incident occurred in the life of Mr. Alfred Nobel which made him take a U-turn and shift his attitude for making better use of money. So let us learn and remember that earning is a by-product of learning.

called Ronak and told him : “Look after everyone in the house.” “Yes father; you please don’t worry.” After his father’s death, Ronak shouldered all the responsibility of the factory as well as household. Three-four years passed away very well. Thereafter, due to stiff competition in the market, his factory earned less profit. In spite of his efforts, Ronak was unable to increase his profits. Experienced Mansukhbhai, who had been working in the factory, together with Ashwinbhai, noticed Ronak and told

him :” Today the output of the

goods that we get through our machines

and workers also brings on lot of wastage. If we can

control that, it will make a difference for sure.”

“All that is okay, but I believe that if we have to face competition, we will

have to make some smart moves. How long can we cling on to old methods?” said Ronak. “What have you thought about this?”questioned Mansukhbhai. “I am working on it and I will let you know soon.” Ronak promptly replied. They both parted.

How did this happen?

On Sunday night around 10:30 p.m. Ronak visited Mansukhbhai suddenly. After a long time there was a smile of victory on his face. “Tomorrow morning Malay will be coming from Mumbai to check the goods of our factory which are for export.” “Yes, I am aware. I shall reach the factory early.” replied Mansukhbhai. “NO, you don’t have to come to the factory tomorrow morning. Only, you have to take good care of Malay!” Saying this Ronak pulled out an envelope from his pocket and gave it to Mansukhbhai. “Take this. There is some cash for you and Malay. Take him to a 5-star hotel and both of you enjoy yourselves.” It was difficult for Mansukhbhai to swallow Ronak’s plan, so impatiently he enquired, “But what about inspection?” “For that formality, you bring him to the office for an hour in the evening. I will handle the rest.” instructed Ronak. The next day, after completing all his requirements, Mansukhbhai brought Malay to the office. “Welcome, welcome, Malay saheb … So, how was the day? Tell me, how can I serve you?” saying this Ronak got up from his chair. “Er…. Let me check the goods for export..I’ll have to put the ‘quality passed’ stamp on them. The container is ready-said Ronak Once you stamp the goods, we can start loading them”. Mansukhbhai was stunned and like a puppet silently watched the entire scenario and the new happenings in the factory, while the containers came out of the factory after being loaded.

Thus, with this new system, the factory started working with full intensity. Some years passed. Stepping up on the ladder of fraud and cheating, Ronak was adding his profits. One day Mansukhbhai’s mobile rang early in the morning. It was Ronak’s disturbed voice instructing him to rush to the factory as a fire had broken out. “What? When? How d id i t happen?”manshukhbhai inquired But the phone got disconnected from the other end. Now Mansukhbhai was in silent contemplation… “Have the goods been loaded on the container of Nature’s justice? On arriving at the factory he found that the fire brigade had arrived and were busy extinguishing the fire, but finally 70-75% goods were destroyed in the blaze. On seeing this, Ronak broke down completely. He thought about it again and again. How did all this happen?

Ronak and Malay shook hands; Ronak passed an envelope containing money to Malay who signed the necessary documents.

Let us see what Dadashri has to say about this...

Akram Youth | 0706 | October 2015

Questioner: Due to what reason does shortage of money happen?

Dadashri: Due to theft. “Laxmiji's” bounty is present when one does not rob through thoughts , words or action. Obstruction of Laxmiji is due to robbing others. Cheating and Laxmiji don't go together. When materialistic robbing stops, one is born in a noble family. But in case of subtle form of theft, i.e, when one cheats and robs, through tricks or manipulation, this is “raudra dhyan” and it results in being born in the lowest realm. When you overstretch the fabric whilst measuring it for the customer, you are doing hard “raudra dhyan “You should not do trickery. “ This is pure stuff”, you say so and feel happy whilst handing over adulterated stuff. This is cheating. When you point out saying “how can you do such a thing”, he would reply “this is what everybody does”. But the one who believes in honest dealing, he should say: “My intention is to sell pure stuff, but this is what I have at present, so take it if you want”. If you admit this, then you are not at fault. Every day people commit “artdhyan and “raudra dhyan”. Therefore, you will get meager wealth. Bhagwan has said that 'Flow of luxmi' will increase where there is “dharma

dhyan” and will decrease where there is “artdhyan” and “raudra dhyan”. You will obtain wealth only if you have that to your credit through, righteous deeds of the past birth. “Laxmi” is always there, but you have created your own hurdles so you remain less fulfilled. When you will nurture good intentions, you will gain true wealth. How can you hope to amass wealth with your immoral thoughts? I’ll-begotten 'Laxmi' will pinch you all over and will melt away causing & sufferings.

uestioner: But today people are in Qneed of money…

Dadashri: Yes. But does that mean that they should resort to deceit and trickery? One should put in efforts, but intentions should be clean. Just as the flow of water is natural, so is the nature of 'Laxmi', and when the time is due 'she' walks away. At such time, if you spoil your intent and try to snatch by deceit, How would the end result be?

condemned him for his invention of dynamite and is said to have brought about his decision to leave a better legacy after his death. The obituary stated, Le marchand de la mort est mort ("The merchant of death is dead") and went on to say, "Dr. Alfred Nobel, who became rich by finding ways to kill more people faster than ever before, died yesterday. Alfred was disappointed with what he read and made him apprehensive about how he would be remembered. This inspired him to change his will.Nobel's last will specified that bulk of his fortune be used to create a series of prizes for those who confer the "greatest benefit on mankind" in physics, chemistry, physiology or

The landlord usually had his coterie of friends around him (kusang) and was into the habit of drinking and gambling. One day he lost heavily whist gambling and his financial condition deteriorated. He approached his noble friend – 'the high profile businessman' to seek his assistance. The businessman listened to the whole story of his collapse and advised him to stay calm for few months. ada's Janma Jayanti at DGandhidham was approaching. One day, a meeting was held at

the GNC office for allotting work. My name propped up in ‘Bal Vignan Bookstall’ department. I thought that I would have to sell books and CDs. Instead I was told to take up full responsibility of the entire department! How would I be able to manage this? I prayed to Dada for 'Shakti'. On reaching the Janma Jayanti venue many thoughts were raging through my mind and things started happening. This was Dada's grace on me. Right from little children to adult 'Sevarthis', all put in their efforts and a beautiful area was set up. Among them there were several experienced senior citizens and I was hesitant whether they would accept my instructions. I needed a low ego, remain polite and don't thrust my ideas on them, All the volunteers provided unselfish service heartily. This resulted in good feedback from visitors as well as 'Mahatmas'. They watched the demonstrations calmly and took back some interesting lessons with them. Thus, my work and management at Gandhidham Janma Jayanti ended successfully. After some time I was told to prepare a report of the sale. Before this event, I had never handled expenses running into lakhs of rupees. In such

cases, one normally finds a difference of Rs.1000/- or Rs.2000/-. Whilst tallying in my case there was a big difference. I remained positive and informed this deficiency. I was confident that I would be able to solve the problem. I didn't slip into depression and again I prayed to Dada to give me 'Shakti' and show me the way. I got a response from within me telling me that since I was taking false

pride whilst doing 'Seva' and taking all credit for myself for completion of all tasks, so I had to suffer this blame and punishment alone! I then recalculated with a cool mind. Finally I found a small mistake in an accounts entry into debit column and rectified the same. I gained confidence that I can also manage to do some accounting work. Henceforth, I shall never be afraid of accepting my ‘Seva’ in any department. Besides, I will never be boastful while doing ‘Seva’ and applaud other’s contribution to the project equally important. That is the key to achieve success!

am trying to say. Doing this will prevent many people binding demerit karma. When people set up a business they look for profit. They will say we are guaranteed a profit of twenty-four thousand in this project. Now when they forecast these figures, they do not take into account changes in circumstances. They never deduct the losses from such proposals.

I have been a contractor all my life and have been involved in all kinds of contracts. Amongst such contracts, we have even built jetties in the sea. Let me tell you what I used to do in the beginning. Wherever there was a scope of making a profit of five hundred thousand rupees, I used to say to myself that it would be enough even if we made a profit of one hundred thousand rupees. In the end, even if we had enough to pay taxes and the daily expenses and broke even, that would be adequate profit. The profit would be of around three hundred thousand. This would keep the mind satisfied and content because we made way more profit than was expected. Here people expect a profit of forty thousand and get only twenty. Surely they are bound to be unhappy!

If someone were to ask what religion he should practise in his business, I would tell him that he should follow these three principles: 1) Ethical practice! The flow of money may increase or decrease. Never become unethical. 2) Maintain an obliging nature. If you do not have any money, at least ask people if you can be of any help to them.

You can run errands for them instead. This is called an obliging nature. 3) Do not ever harbor any desire of expecting something in return for what you do for others. The whole world has expectations in return for services they render; whether you wish it or not, you will be rewarded. There is always a reaction to every action. Your desires are nothing but actually begging on your part. They go to waste.

Display the following statements prominently in your shop: 1) Enjoy the present - do not worry about what is not in front of you. 2) The fault is of the sufferer 3 ) D i s h o n e s t y i s t h e b e s t foolishness.

GREED PERPETUATES WORLDLY LIFE AFTER LIFEQuestioner :Dada, is there a difference between a stingy fellow and a thrifty person.Dadashri :Yes, a tremendous difference. If you earn a thousand rupees a month, then you should keep an expense account of eight hundred rupees, and if your income is five hundred rupees then you should have an expense account of four hundred rupees. That is called thriftiness. A miser, however will spend four hundred rupees only, whether his income is a thousand or two thousand rupees. He would not use a taxi. Thriftiness is economics. It helps maintain awareness of future financial difficulties. People despise a miser the moment they see him, whereas people do not feel that way about a thrifty man.

the same: Dadashri says that you get money by 'punya' [credit of good deeds from your past birth] and this can only be achieved by giving happiness to every living creature. So, first of all, stop giving slightest pain to anyone by your thoughts, words or action. By giving happiness to others you develop your 'punya', and due to that you receive wealth. Then, for getting more money you don't have to study hard or do hard work. In the same way, if you want prestige, you want to earn a good name in the world, you have to do such deeds. If you have to your credit 'Yashnam Karma' from your past life, you gain prestige. If your intent is always to do good of the people, the nature will take you ahead till you reach the top of the ladder. If you do not misuse your 'seat' then people will praise you and call you 'great'. If money is used for noble purpose, only then its usage can be considered justified. Otherwise, if lots of money is spent on splurging after one's luxurious life style delusions, then in the next birth he will be born a beggar. So, if you intend to use money, do so for good helpful purpose, only then it would be worthy. Even if you serve your mother father and guru heartily, you will earn high rewards. You will gain money and prestige in society.

Gnani An Idol Of Astonishment

nce an American lady came to visit Dada for the first time. She observed Niruma doing ODada's 'Seva' and casually enquired, “Dada, who is she?” Dada replied, “She is my disciple.” She asked again, “How is she relating with you?” Dada replied, “Generally,
