1. Changing from export to import2. Change from low cost producer to high wage and cost for 

b ibusiness3. Due to high cost and scarcity of labor, it forces manufacturing 

business moving from coast area to inland of China.4. Good management talent is very scarce and finding local business

Business Challenges1. Unless you are in niche market, generally the market 

i i i ficompetition is very fierce.2. Copy cats are everywhere.  If it is a profitable business, it’d 

not be too long to copied.3. Setting up a business is no longer hard, but to recruit right 

people is really tough. ( learn to lower you standard)4. Developing market is not easy, unless you can expand your 

b f hcustomers bases from US to China.5. Promotion and advertising cost is very high but results are not 

promising 6. Suppliers’ quality varies. Usually it’s unreliable7. If your business recruit late 80’s or early 90’s young 

generation, which are totally different people. Most are selfish, can’t take criticism, not accountable, minimizer.

Challenges for Life Quality  1. Private schooling are very expensive. The most favorite schools in Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou g , j g gare American school.

2. The second choices are schools operated by Hong K T i dKong or Taiwan educators. 

3. Living environment is always a challenges.4 Ai d f d lit t d4. Air and food quality are most concerned.5. Traveling within China is getting very expensive.  Most air traveling within China are lateMost air traveling within  China are late (up to 90%). Cancellation is common.

1. Find a strong accountability group to support each other
