Over the last 250 years it has played host to many famous guests: the artists Edvard Munch and Hans Gude, King Oscar II and the feminist writer Camilla Collett, to name a few. The distinctive main building with its two towers is just a stone’s throw from the Oslofjord, and the hotel has its own guest jetty. Refsnes Gods is particularly famous for its cuisine and well-stocked wine cellar. It is also known as the ‘contemporary art hotel’, thanks to its unique collection of around 400 original works.
