this weekend at Bryant Park (at the southwestern

than 20,000 attendees annually. This is Palm

strength and growth of the gay & lesbian
community. PrideFest emphasizes the importance
of diversity in our community, making it stronger and more accepting of all individuals and

Granddaughter of distinguished cellist Leslie Parnas, Cicely
Parnas made her concerto debut at age eleven with the
Woodstock Chamber Orchestra. A winner of the Young Concert
Artists Competition, Ms. Parnas made her Carnegie Hall concerto
debut in 2012 performing the Saint-Saëns Concerto with the
New York String Orchestra under the baton of Jaime Laredo. The March 24 program will
include music for cello and piano by Barber, Brahms and Ravel, played without
intermission. Ms. Parnas performs on a 1712 Giovanni Grancino cello. A post-performance
artist meet-and-greet will be held in the lobby afterward.

a raucous blend of political satire and musical
parody. Since 1981, when a group of Senate
staffers first gathered to plan entertainment for a Christmas party, Capitol Steps have

New works by 15 Palm
Beach County-based
artists are being exhibited
in the Cultural Council’s main gallery in Lake Worth, providing visitors with an insider’s look
at the evolving arts scene in The Palm Beaches. Each artist was challenged to create a
work specifically for this show, or to display a recently-created work that has not yet
been shown.
A Member’s Preview Party (open to the public) takes place on Thursday, March 24,
5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tickets for non-members are $20. Trunk show artists on that
occasion include LizKat Designs and Debbie Lee Mostel. Cocktails and hors
