Dear Parish Family,

I hope you had a joyous and meaningful Easter celebration with your family and church family. We

were thrilled to welcome you at the Triduum and Easter Sunday celebrations. My thanks to our Music

ministry, Art & Environment ministry, for their amazing artistry which is the hallmark of this parish;

the Welcome and Café ministry, for your service to help establish an experience of welcome and

warmth; the Children’s Word ministry for creating an environment of excitement for the children to

hear God’s Word and celebrate it. My thanks also to the other liturgical ministries, ushers, readers,

ministers of Holy Communion, to all the volunteers whose services we could not possibly have done

without who helped create a wonderful experience for those who came to pray with us.

I want to thank the staff for the outstanding job they did through planning and supporting all that

needed to be done for our Holy Week experience in the parish. Their assistance in working with our

other weekend ministries have made our Triduum and Easter celebrations truly inspiring. My heart is

full of gratitude for each and every staff member.

God sent many new faces to be with us this past week. If you were part of an invitation to come join us

for our Easter celebrations thank you for reaching out and extending that invitation. Hopefully they

will come back a join us again soon.

Just a reminder that we started our new five week message series 180 on Easter Sunday.

Have a wonderful week.

I will see you on the weekend.

CALLING A LL VOLUNTEERS!

FAITH TO MOVE MOUNTAINS CAMPAIGN

If you have not made your pledge yet we ask you to consider a sacrificial gift to the campaign – one that is right for you.

The response from our parishioners has been humbling. However, it is only through the participation and support of every family that we

can truly be successful. Bishop O’Connell has asked each of us to consider a small amount each month over a three-to-five year period. Pledging allows each of us the opportunity to make a sacrificial gift that will help to shape the Church we leave for future generations of

Catholic families in our community.

Suggested Gift Plans over 60 months: Suggested Gift Plans over 36 months:

$250 per month given over 60 months equals $15,000!!! $167 per month given over 36 months equals $6,000!!!

$200 per month given over 60 months equals $12,000!!! $83 per month given over 36 months equals $3,000!!!

$167 per month given over 60 months equals $10,000!!! $50 per month given over 36 months equals $1,800!!!

Thank you to all who give to make our campaign a success. Your gift to the Faith to Move Mountains campaign is greatly appreciated!

In the coming weeks, we will hear our message series “180°”. Jesus came to restore and transform hu-

man beings and in changing individual hearts, transform the world. In Christ, we are new creations and

so if we stay connected to Christ we will experience life change. In this series we will look at some of the

change we can expect to experience.

On Easter Sunday, Father Andrew began this series. To review this first message, go to:

http://holyeucharist.org/#/mass-times-and-calendar/homilies. Some questions to consider from our

series so far:

1. When have you had the experience of standing in front of an authority and being judged? What emo-

tions have you felt in those circumstances?

2 How can we increase the joy and gratitude we have for what Jesus did for us by his cross and resurrec-

tion?

3. Do you think of yourself as having wounds in your heart and soul? What is your reaction to the asser-

tion, we all have wounds?

4. When was the last time you got very angry or upset or frustrated? Was it justified or was it a small

thing that hints at a wound?

5. What needs or desires have you been bringing to God in prayer? How might God use that need to

bring healing to your heart or soul?

NEW MESSAGE SERIES - 180°

ST. V INCENT DE PAUL Each week we receive phone calls on our Hot Line from families requesting assistance from us for rent, heating, utilities and

medical bills. We visit with these families to discuss their request for assistance. As a group at our general meetings, we de-

cide the best ways to help those in need. All Information is confidential. If you know anyone in need or need help yourself,

don't hesitate to call our Hot Line at 609-268-0005.

With our economic crisis, many struggling families simply don't have enough money for all their monthly expenses. In 2015

we were able to help 20 Families with their heating bills (Oil, Kerosene, Propane) totaling $5,126.76 It is the generosity of

the Holy Eucharist parishioners that make it possible for our society to assist those in need in our community. We want to

thank you for your continued support in donating to our Poor Boxes throughout the church, purchasing Super Market Certifi-

cates, Bread Are Given Cards and Food donations to our Food Pantry.

If you would like to become a member of our society, we invite you attend one of our meetings to decide if it is right for

you. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month at 7:00 P.M. at the church. We warmly welcome you and can

certainly use more volunteers to help us assist those in need in our community.

“REMEMBER THOSE IN NEED” Paper Products: Toilet Paper, Paper Towels, Napkins, Tissues

Thank you and God bless our parishioners for all they do for our society. Without your help, we would be unable to assist

the many families in need in our community.

EUCHARIST: W E G IVE THANKS AND PRAISE At their last Eucharist Prep our children preparing for First Communion read the story of the Boy Who Shared. It was the

miracle of the loaves and fish. As the children listened they came to understand that just as Jesus shares Himself under the form of bread in the Eucharist with us so they are called to be Eucharist to others by sharing with others.

On Palm Sunday, each child had a loaf of bread to share with one member in our faith community. When they gave their

bread to a person they asked them to pray for them as the prepared to receive Jesus on their First Communion.

This week, they are asking everyone in our faith community to pray for them as their very special day gets closer.

PRAYER FOR A CHILD’S FIRST COMMUNION

Lord, Jesus Bless our children receiving Holy Communion this year. May their First Communion Day be an

initial step into a life-long love of the Eucharist. Give them a hunger for this sacred food so that they turn to you for

comfort, guidance, and wisdom as they grow into full discipleship. Thank you for their innocence and goodness. May

their hand, extended in anticipation of your Body and Blood, inspire all of us to cherish this sacred sacrament. Amen.

FAITH IN OUR FUTURE

Our core team has begun conversation with members of the cohort teams from St. Mary of the Lakes, St.

Isaac Jogues, St. Joan of Arc and St. John Neumann ( Mt. Laurel). Together the cohort teams are meeting

to create an “Evaluation of Criteria of Planning” in preparation for making a suggestion for a future model

or models for our parishes. Holy Eucharist is represented by Bill Price who is on the team evaluating Com-

munal Life, Kathy Tennar – Sacramental Life, Jennifer Alleva – Evangelization and Catechesis, and Na-

talie Casano – Stewardship. In the coming weeks, we will be providing you with the results of these conver-

sations. Please continue to keep our team and the members of the cohort in your prayers

Knights of Columbus Tabernacle Council 8733 is sponsoring a whole blood drive Sunday, April 17, 2016 from

9:30am to 2:30pm. This blood drive will take place in the Red Cross mobile unit in the parking lot. Because of

the space restrictions of the mobile unit, reserving a time slot ahead of schedule is strongly recommended.

There will be a check-in table in the St. Vincent De Paul office vestibule for sign up and seating to accommo-

date those who are waiting for a bed to be available. A sign-up list for time slots will be available in the connector area the

next two weekends, or you can sign up on line on the Red Cross web site. Sadly, blood donations have become a hand to

mouth norm with donations only barely keeping up with needs, and sometimes not even that. Each donation is critical.

Please call Jim Kukura at 268-2795 with any questions.
