Antirrhinum majus cv. ‘Snapdragon’
• Often used as a cut flower
• Tall heads show bright colored flowers
• Can be grown in flower beds using the low growing varieties
• Single flowers open their mouth looking like a dragon.
Astilbe
• Flowering plant with tall feathery heads.
• Flower color ranges from pink to white to purple to red.
• Dark green foliage is decorative but mostly grown for flowers.
Canna X generalis ‘Canna’
• Mostly seen as a flower used in home gardens, but some varieties are used in flower arrangements.
• Foliage can be yellow, green, or dark reddish purple.
• Flowers can be red, pink, yellow or other bright colors.

• Has a smaller, more arranged flower than the bearded iris.
• Usually has yellow flecks or spots in it.
• Common cut flower.
