HSIN-Intel Purpose ■ Foster community and coordination between

fusion centers and homeland security partners across the nation

SitAwareSitAware is a centralized, 24/7 virtual information sharing room which provides all trained HSIN-Intel members ways to monitor and post relevant items that occur while an incident of national or regional significance is transpiring.

Examples of these incidents include but are not limited to:

Active Shooter

Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear or Explosive

Planned Events

Suspicious Packages

Significant rise in violent criminal activity

Critical incidents involving national infrastructure

Natural or Manmade Disasters

Public Health Incidents or Outbreaks

Special events of national impact

To view SitAware, HSIN-Intel members may access the site using their HSIN username and password at https://share.dhs.gov/sitaware.

GovernanceHSIN Intel is governed by the HSIN State and Local Intelligence Community (SLIC) Executive Board. The board is comprised of 12 state and local homeland security and law enforcement leaders representing the four Homeland Security SLIC regions.
