in the course of the 61st German Mozart Festival18 – 21 October 2012

»Never forget that music is much too important

to be left entirely in the hands of professionals!«

Robert Fulghum, American philosopher

Do you love to play music together instead of just listening to the stars of the classic world? Do you enjoy meeting other musicians and work on new pieces as an ensemble? Would you like to playfully present your skills and talk to others who enjoy the same? Then you can look forward to a unique weekend (October 18 to 21, 2012) in Augsburg. We invite non-professional musicians to meet our enthusiastic competition jury, together with their ensembles.

However, the fun of making music together and meet people with the same interests will most certainly be more important to everybody than winning a prize. This house concert competition for amateurs is promo-ted by the German Mozart Society (which has its offices in Augsburg) and is organised in cooperation with European Mozart Ways and the Bavarian Association of Musicians.Home pit(ch) is part of the 61st German Mozart Festival, which takes place in Augsburg from October 12 to 21, 2012.
