Sandra and Esric Jackson arehousehold names, amongst theSri Lankans now domiciled in
Melbourne, Australia. They are known, not only for the
brilliant music they produce, whenperforming with Replay 6, but alsofor their generosity.
Musicians, from Sri Lanka, whotravel to Australia, for assignments, find the residence of Sandra andEsric Jackson a home away fromhome.
They make everyone feel very
much a part of their household. And,
as one reputed Sri Lankan singer
said, there is always something to
eat, laid out on the table.
Whatever this couple does, they
do it in grand style, and that exactly
was the scene when Sandra celebrat-
ed her birthday, on December 30th
(2014).
The venue was The Walauwa, in
Melbourne, and the place was
packed with friends, well wishers and
fans of Sandra and Esric.
They were all there to wish the
birthday girl many more years of
happiness, and good music, for which
she and Replay 6 are renowned for.
Of course, Replay 6 was on the
bandstand, along with Mirage, to pro-
vide the kind of music that makes a
birthday bash a success.
Joined on stage by the birth-
day girl and her husband,
Esric, Replay 6 went into
top gear with all the
songs they are
famous for. And
Mirage made the
scene extra special.
In the year, 2013, Sandra celebrat-
ed her birthday, in Colombo – at the
Margarita Blue of the Galadari Hotel
– along with her band, Replay 6.
It was a great party, with lots of
Aussie-Sri Lankans in attendance,
and one got the impression that it
was a little bit of a nightspot in
Melbourne, reenacted at the
Margarita Blue. The atmosphere was
terrific!
Mirage was in attendance as well,
to help Sandra celebrate her birth-
day, in Colombo.
There is talk that Replay 6, along
with Sandra and Esric, may usher in
2016, at a venue in Sri Lanka.
In the meanwhile, Sandra, Esric
and Replay 6 continue to make their
presence felt at most of the known
dances, and venues, in Melbourne.
There is also a possibility of
Sandra and Esric branching out into
other avenues, connected with enter-
tainment.
The photographs published, along
with this story, are for Sandra’s birth-
day bash, held at The Walauwa, in
Melbourne, last month – December
30th, 2014.
