National and International Transport via Northern and Western Ports

With more than thirty years‘ experience in container trucking, we can offer our customers the ultimate in reliability.

Our day to day business covers not only the entire German net-work, but also other countries of the EU, with our connections to the Western Ports playing a particu-larly important role. Every day we carry out trans-border shipments to and from Rotterdam, Antwerp and Zeebrügge as well as maintaining regular links to the UK, Austria, Switzerland and Scandinavia.

All our long-distance vehicles can be contacted 24/7 by mobile phone and are monitored online by our fleet supervision system. Customers can be provided with an interface which allows them to track their goods at any time from start to finish.

To improve efficiency, transport instructions and status reports are communicated directly to and from our trucks via Internet.

As well as the ability to send status reports at any time using our tracking system, we also provide other transport services such as cargo handling, storage, customs clearance and the issuing of T-documents. It goes without saying that all our vehicles are ADR certified. Our drivers are fully qualified and undergo regular training in all aspects of ADR. In addition to hazardous goods, we are also well-equipped to handle reefer, bulk and oversized cargo.

In this respect, a special role is played by our extensive fleet of chassis, which range from more than a hundred standard chassis to reefer chassis equipped with generators to ensure uninterrupted refrigeration throughout the whole transportation process. In addition, we can offer our customers 45‘ chassis, tipping chassis, lowliners and dividable chassis.

In addition to hazardous goods, we are also well-equipped to handle reefer, bulk and oversized cargo on a local basis. Our short-haul fleet includes more than a hundred chassis of various sizes. In addition, we also operate reefer/genset chassis, 45‘ chas-sis, multichassis, tipping chassis, lowliners and tank chassis.

By acquiring the necessary permits for the transport of oversized cargo on container flats and open-top containers, or general cargo on a platform trailer, we can react swiftly to meet our customers‘ various requirements.

Local and Feeder Services

In local and feeder transport within the „wet triangle“ between Bremer-haven, Bremen and Hamburg, as well as in the surrounding areas, we provide and transship cont-ainers of all types and sizes.

All of our 75 short-haul vehicles can be reached around the clock by mobile phone and monitored online by our fleet supervision system. Customers can be provi-ded with an interface which allows them to track their goods at any time from start to finish. The biggest role in our East European activity is played by container transport to and from Poland. Our international coverage is rounded off by services to the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Croatia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia as well as Russia, Belarus and the Ukraine.

To ensure a smooth transport process, our staff have all the language skills required as well as the necessary local knowledge.

Our wholly owned subsidiary „KGI Glomb Logistics“ Sp. z o.o. in Gdynia provides on site support for our activities in Poland‘s largest seaport, where we can offer our customers handling services for import and export containers in the internal Polish market. Our range of services in Poland also covers standard transportation require-ments such as transshipment or customs clearance.

Eastern Europe

As a pioneer in container road transport to Eastern Europe, we have continuously strengthened our position in this market since 1980, making us one of the leading providers in Germany for the past thirty years.

With the collapse of the Iron Curtain and the ensuing eastern expansion of the EU, a dynamic market opened up with huge potential for development. In response to our customers‘ growing demand for reliable and secure transport, we have continuously expanded our fleet for deployment in Eastern Europe.

Today we have over 200 vehicles in constant service on our Eastern European routes, which makes us market leaders in direct trucking between these countries and the German and western seaports.

Heavy and Oversized Transport

„Too big is just right“. That‘s the motto of our heavy loads depart-ment. For the transport of heavy loads we can offer our customers a wide range of vehicles. These include low-bed trailers with adjus-table height levels which also come with various loading capacities and equipment features.

We support our customers in the loading process and provide a comprehensive service covering route planning, creation of load distribution plans, obtaining of permits and the provision of escort vehicles.

Damage Management

In the event of an accident in the overseas port of Bremerhaven, we are in a position to reload, clean, repack or dispose of critical cargoes such as liquids, dust, granules, chemicals, bulk or other hazardous materials (ADR). This includes the provision of receptacles, transport and the appropriate customs and legal documentation.

Waste Disposal Logistics

National and trans-border transport of waste and hazardous waste in compliance with the Basel Convention and German legislation (§§ 53, 54 KrW-/AbfG). In addition to transportation services, we also guarantee legal security by means of the appropriate documentation.

Waste Brokerage

In cooperation with local waste disposal services and restricted to the local vicinity, we can provide waste producers with storage capacity as well as appropriate services for the transport and disposal of waste and hazardous waste.

Environmental Protection

Natural resources and raw materials are not inexhaustible. They are the world‘s natural capital and form the basis of all business. However, global exploitation of resources is now at a level which cannot be sustained without infringing on the ecological, social and economic prospects of future generations.

This is a challenge which we are happy to face up to. As part of our future development and international expansion, we are determined to further intensify our efforts to protect the environment.

What we care about

Our sense of responsibility is not limited to our customers and staff. As a company, we are also aware of our obligations to the community and the environment. For this reason we are involved in the sponsorship of various social projects such as road safety programs for children or the support of the local ice hockey team in Bremerhaven, the Fischtown Pinguins.
