Home At Last I had to swim deep waters through raging waves, that tried to take me under. At times I could not see the other shore but I kept swimming, though I tired I did not quit Feet kicking, Arms stroking, I persevered through the Highs and Lows of the tide, Never taking my face off the other side. My battle was only beginning, when I touched the shore, the softeness of the sand relaxed my tensed muscles as I ran Towards the vehicle that would propell my life. Smooth and then Rocky roads did I Journey through, beating Sun cooking my skin, through dry places, thirsting Only to be cooled by tiny drops of rain, one by one than two by two, heaven opened up to quench my thirsty soul with An abundance of rain, enduring the pain, leg cramps, blurry vision, sometimes making the wrong decisions On my way to my next transition, I am empowered as I drink from this cup, As my feet again hit the pavement, As I stand up, taller and stronger than when I first began, better and wiser, through His perfect plan. One foot in front in front of the other, arms pumping front to back, the last leg of my event I refuse to look back but i Made it through rough tulmultous seas, through the rockiest of roads, highest of hills, lowest of valleys.

Home At Last

I had to swim deep waters through raging waves, that tried to take me under.

At times I could not see the other shore but I kept swimming, though I tired I did not quit

Feet kicking, Arms stroking, I persevered through the Highs and Lows of the tide, Never taking my face off the other side.

My battle was only beginning, when I touched the shore, the softeness of the sand relaxed my tensed muscles as I ran

Towards the vehicle that would propell my life.Smooth and then Rocky roads did I Journey through, beating Sun cooking my

skin, through dry places, thirstingOnly to be cooled by tiny drops of rain, one by one than two by two, heaven

opened up to quench my thirsty soul withAn abundance of rain, enduring the pain, leg cramps, blurry vision, sometimes

making the wrong decisionsOn my way to my next transition, I am empowered as I drink from this cup, As

my feet again hit the pavement,As I stand up, taller and stronger than when I first began, better and wiser,

through His perfect plan. One foot in front in front of the other, arms pumping front to back, the last leg

of my event I refuse to look back but iMade it through rough tulmultous seas, through the rockiest of roads, highest of

hills, lowest of valleys. My path is smooth, feet pounding the ground, level and stable and I won’t slow

down.My eyes focused on my place of rest, as the angels are calling me favored and

blessedMy burdens are lifted, my body is light

No more swimming, no more biking, no more running, no more fightNot a care in the world only peaceful light cast, as I cross the finish line saying
