Catholic Service Appeal Our parish goal is $46,248.10. If each
of our households gave 1% of their
income we would exceed this
goal by $20,000. Any excess
funds over our goal will be set
aside for needed church
renovations and updates.
Will you help us reach and
exceed our goal? Lets all
work together to make this
appeal a success. I thank
those who have given and
will continue to give. We
have now reached 99% of
our goal.

Thank you very much for your kind words,
greeting cards and gifts of thanks and
gratitude for my four years as
your sacramental minister at
Holy Trinity Parish. It's been a
blessing to have served
you. My greatest joy is
celebrating Mass and the other
sacraments. You have added to that joy.
Fr Jim
Dear friends of God,
This is the first of many bulletin columns that I will
share with you over the coming years. For quite a
while I have been beginning my columns with
“dear friends of God.” There is a Biblical and
traditional idea that we are each called to be a
friend of God. I think that this is a great way to
begin my columns, as well as a great way of living
our lives as disciples of the one who said that I no
longer call you servants but friends.
Last weekend the theme for my homily was for us
to let go of those parts of our material, emotional,
and spiritual lives that are no longer serving us
anymore. I don’t know about you, but I am
experiencing this in very practical ways as I
unpack my belongings and wonder why I am
keeping so many things. I’m doing my best at
letting some stuff go. I hope that you are as well!
Much love,

NOVENA PRAYER TO ST. ANNE
O Glorious St. Anne, you are filled with
compassion for those who suffer! Heavily
burdened with the weight of my troubles, I cast
myself at your feet and humbly beg of you to take
the present intention which I recommend to you in
your special care.
Please recommend it to your daughter, the
Blessed Virgin Mary, and place it
before the throne of Jesus, so that
He may bring it to a happy issue.
Continue to intercede for me until
my request is granted. But, above
all, obtain for me the grace one
day to see my God face to face,
and with you and Mary and all the
saints to praise and bless Him for all eternity.
Amen.

Mary has been called the "mother of listening." She
didn’t just hear the Word; she pondered it in light of
her own relationships and
circumstances and then let it
transform her.
Sonja will show you how to pray
with Scripture under the guidance
of the Blessed Mother. She will
draw from vivid biblical texts to
show you the key to loving
Scripture and deepening your
relationship with God.
Learn how to tell the difference between God's
voice and your own thoughts in prayer. Understand
Mary as the mother of the Church and a model for
individual Christians. Discover how to hear the
voice of God in Scripture, and so that reading
Scripture becomes a joyful encounter with the one
who loves you. Find peace and direction every day
as you turn to God’s Word and discover him
working in your heart and your life. Most
importantly: You will know how to respond to God
when you do hear him, just like the Blessed Mother!

PRO-LIFE CORNER The road to Auschwitz was built by hate, but paved with
indifference. Today the horrors of Nazi Germany may
be past, but in America today an even greater number
of human beings are on the road to their own deaths in
a state subsidized killing center, an abortion clinic. The
Holocaust murdered twelve million people. Since
1973, over 61.500.000 million unborn babies in
America alone have been murdered by the holocaust of
surgical abortion.
STEWARDSHIP MESSAGE
15th Sunday in Ordinary Time “Jesus said to
him, ‘Go and do likewise.’” (Luke 10:37)
This was Jesus’ command at the end of the Good
Samaritan story. Did you know that the
Samaritans and Jews despised each other. The
moral of the story is to love our neighbor. That
means loving someone you may not know or
someone that looks different than you or
someone that you don’t like. All without expecting
anything in return.
