My dear Sisters and

Brothers,

Let us hear again what St.

Paul has to say in the second

reading this Sunday in writing

to the Corinthians:

“WHATEVER YOU EAT OR

DRINK, WHATEVER YOU DO,

YOU SHOULD DO ALL FOR

THE GLORY OF GOD.” This

amazing advice is so important

and practical to our faith life.

If we take a glance at the

first reading and the gospel

story, we will realize that

ultimately we dare not even

think of the possibility of giving God any glory.

Our sins are far worse than leprosy! With our

sinfulness, all we deserve is to publicly confess:

“UNCLEAN! UNCLEAN!”

Nevertheless, Jesus will be moved seeing our

unworthiness and humility… and will touch

our wounds and say: “I WILL DO IT. BE

CURED!” That is where and how we can give any

glory to God. It’s so amazing to believe Jesus

truly touched our sinfulness.

But even far beyond that, he

carried our sins, our unclean

leprosy on his shoulder and

washed them all with his

precious sacred Blood. Are

you still not kneeling down

thanking him for such a love?

That’s his Divine Love, Divine

Mercy!!!

Jesus will touch our heart

deeply, so deeply to heal our

wounds and possibly leaving

the scars for us as a powerful

reminder of our “UNCLEAN”

and absolute necessity of his

powerful healing.

Let us again and again recognize our urgent

need of returning from our past sinful life. Let us

come back to God as a family! Let us allow Jesus

to touch every corner of our life again and again!

February 14, the feast of St. Valentine

The feast was established by Pope Gelasius I in 496. Some say that Valentine's feast day is

celebrated in February because we do know that February has long been celebrated as a month of romance.

The church wanted to Christianize an

ancient Roman pagan festival called Lupercalia.

The Legend of St. Valentine. The history of Valentine's

Day–and the story of

its patron saint–is shrouded in mystery, as we know it today,

contains vestiges of both Christian and ancient Roman tradition.
