Altar Servers If you are serving Mass and you have family and/or friends wanting to attend that Mass you need to contact the parish office so we make sure we have a spot for them. The 25 maximum includes all persons in the Church/ Father, altar servers etc. There are no exceptions for the past the 25 people. Just call: 541-756-0633, ext 201 before Noon on Friday before.

Pentecost Sunday Pentecost celebrates one of the most important gifts we have been given: the Holy Spirit. The Spirit is our companion and guide through life. The Spirit, if we are open to it, will help us see what we are called to be and do. Through the Spirit we discover our gifts and how to use them for the benefit of the whole community. How open are you to the promptings of the Spirit? Do you take some time each day to ask the Spirit to help and guide you? The Spirit speaks to us in many

ways—through the silence in our hearts and through people we meet, even casually throughout the day. Pray to become more attune to what the Spirit is saying to you.

When you send forth your spirit, they are created., and you renew the face of the earth.

Confessions are back! Father Jorge will hear confessions on Saturdays from 3:00 pm to 3:45 pm in the Church on the traditional side only. If you want to attend the 4:00 pm Mass

you must contact the office to sign up ahead of time even if you go to confession. We ask that you wear a mask and sanitize your hands before entering the main part of the church. We need to protect Father or the Church will be completely closed.

Please remember to call, email or text ahead for each Mass you want to attend. It’s not meant to make things more difficult for you, however, we have requirements we need to follow.

Also, we cannot allow communion to be taken out for home visits at this time. NO groups other than Mass yet. Please check website for updates or call the parish office. 541-756-0633, ext 201 by Friday Noon for the weekend or 2:00 pm the day before for daily Mass.

One of our outside ministries is to collect food items to give to the food

bank. If someone comes to us looking for food we will let them take some items. Please bring food only during business hours. If you leave food in Church let us know or just drop off at parish office during office hours; 10am to 2pm.

The wine of the Spirit “No one puts new wine into old wineskins,” said Jesus (Luke 5:37). Drawing on this statement, a preacher in sixth-century Africa proclaimed in a Pentecost homily: “It was with good reason, then, that some people, when they heard the apostles speaking in every tongue, said, ‘They are filled with the new wine.’ For they had become fresh wineskins, they had been renewed by the grace of holiness, so that when they were filled with the new wine, that is, with the Holy Spirit, they spoke with fervor in every tongue. … "Celebrate, then, this day as members of the one body of Christ. Your celebration will not be in vain if you are what you celebrate, if you hold fast to the church which the Lord filled with his Holy Spirit.” Fifteen centuries later, may that call still resonate with us. May we be so renewed by God’s grace as to be worthy vessels of the new wine of the Holy Spirit — and to share it with the world.

Children’s Store. Now is a good time to clean out any re-giftable items, trinkets, toys, anything we could put into the Children’s store for children to purchase for their families. We collect all year for this event and would love to help you

reduce clutter by taking any of your new or slightly used items to put in the store. Items can be dropped off Religious Ed or parish office. We can also use paper bags with handles. ~Blessings, Jim and Ann
