Level 6 State Championships: Lauren Williams competed at the USAG Level 6 State Championships in Plano and won the Silver Medal on Beam! Lauren also placed 6 th on vault, 9 th on floor and 9 th All Around. Level 4 South State Championships: Jordyn Girouard placed 8 th on Vault and 9 th on Beam. Tori Weatherley placed 8 th on Bars, 9 th on Floor and 10 th All Around Level 5 South State Championships: Brittany Sauer placed 5 th on Vault. Allison Leighton placed 5 th on Vault, 9 th on Floor, 9 th All Around and qualified to the Level 5 State Championships! A new shipment of GK Leotards has arrived Just in Time for the Holidays TEAM TANK LEO The gymnastics team tank leo (purple metallic with rhinestone AA) may be ordered by any of our students. They are $45. Other items such as lunch bags and t-shirts are also available. HOLIDAY CLASS/WORKOUT SCHEDULE The gym will be closed for all classes the 21 st – 31 st . Classes and workouts will resume January 2 nd . COMMUNITY SERVICE: BAKE SALE On Dec. 18 th , the dance and gymnastics teams will hold Their Annual Community Service Event. They will hold a bake sale from 1-3 in the Windsong Intermediate Parking lot. All proceeds will benefit FVFD. Please come by and purchase some goodies for the holidays (or make a donation to FVFD) 100% goes to the fire department. Santa will be there with a fire truck to listen to your wish list or to take photos. Did you know? The Friendswood Volunteer Fire Department is staffed with over 90 volunteers and averages 2,400 calls a year. NEW INTERMEDIATE/PRETEAM GYMNASTS During December, invitations will be extended to those gymnasts that have acquired the skills and qualified for our intermediate/preteam class. If you have any questions about your child's progress or advancement, please email Coach Kathy, [email protected]. DANCE EXHIBITIONS (dance/combo classes) Students in our combo and regular dance classes will begin learning the dance they will perform at the Spring Exhibitions. You're invited to attend one or all of the exhibitions (3-4) – dates, times, locations will be announced in the Spring. Our performances are usually local and are no more than 10 minutes from the gym. The performance outfit (shirt with rhinestone AA logo, shorts and bow) $60 will be ordered at the end of January. Extra practices may be needed once the performances are scheduled. Our gymnastics and dance teams love dong these exhibitions! It gives them a chance to show off to their friends and family in a non competitive atmosphere. JANUARY JUBILEE The first dance competition of the 2012 Season will be January Jubilee, hosted by the FHS Wranglerettes on January 17 th . A schedule of AA Team dance times will be available in January so that everyone can come out to cheer for our team. RAFFLE TICKET WINNER Tina Ruiz was our raffle winner and won the Acer notebook! Thank you to everyone that sold and or bought raffle tickets. We were able to purchase the new TumbleTrak and the kids love it!

HOLIDAY PARTY The dance and gymnastics team Holiday Party is Wednesday, December the 14th. All team members received an invitation in their lockers. We will exchange gifts with our big/little sisters (please keep gifts to $10), do our annual hayride, and make posters for the Bake Sale. COMMUNITY SERVICE/BAKE SALE Team members may begin bringing in baked goods on Wednesday, Dec. 14th AWARDS BANQUET – Save the Date! Our Annual Gymnastics Team Awards Banquet will be January 21st. Invitations will go out after the holidays. YEARBOOK ADS The very last day to turn in yearbook ads for the gymnastics team yearbook is December 9th. Forms are in the Booster Club Locker.
