ForewordIn this brochure you will find information about the huge range of school holiday sports and physical activity opportunities offered or supported by Wiltshire Council, covering 64 venues across the county. Sport plays a vital role in the lives of young people in Wiltshire and also the wider community – contributing to health and wellbeing, community cohesion and social interaction.
In Wiltshire we think it’s vital that everyone has the opportunity to take part in sport and physical activity. As a result, we have been able to develop additional sports programmes to ensure residents can access high quality, local sport across the county.

StarTrack (8 – 14 years)StarTrack is UK Athletics flagship grassroots participation programme, offering young people real athletics experiences and helping them to develop skills. Sessions will be fun and energetic, giving young people the chance to be coached in a variety of individual track and field disciplines.
Slamdunkz (8 – 16 years)Focusing on games and individual skill development, these basketball camps, delivered by Innov8sportz C.I.C, provide participants with the chance to get involved in the game regardless of prior experience.
Sloggerz (8 – 14 years)Sloggerz camps provide participants with the chance to take part in cricket regardless of prior experience. Whether you play cricket already, or are interested in giving it a go, this will be a great way of making friends, developing skills and having fun!
STFITC football camps (5 – 15 years)We are once again working in partnership with Swindon Town Football in the Community (STFITC) to provide football camps in towns within Wiltshire.
These three day camps provide opportunities for participants to make friends and develop their skills and techniques whilst engaging in a fun and safe environment.
Wilts LTA Tennis camps (6 – 14 years)Tennis camps will be delivered at five venues across Wiltshire. LTA Accredited coaches will deliver all sessions and will provide a mixture of technical activities, skills and drills, fun challenges and team matches tailored to the needs of the participants.

Fun in the Sun (5 – 11 years)Fun in the Sun is a rural sports outreach programme delivered annually during the school summer holidays. Wiltshire Council works closely with parish councils across the county to deliver free, high quality sports sessions each week for 5 – 11 year olds.
Camp Activate (5 – 14 years)Camp Activate is an Ofsted registered holiday programme and is compliant with all Ofsted guidelines within the voluntary register. Each themed week of Camp Activate is packed with exciting art, sport and history activities at affordable prices to make them accessible for all.
Free swimming (under 16’s)Wiltshire Council’s pledge to fund free swimming for young people during the school holidays continues. Children aged 16 and under can enjoy free swimming during most public swimming sessions at their local Wiltshire Council, Places for People and community managed leisure centres in Wiltshire.
Our free swimming times vary depending on which swimming venue is being attended. Please contact your local centre directly for further information or see page 26 of this brochure.
Inclusion holiday programmeA number of multi-sport activity days are delivered throughout the county during school holidays, providing young people with disabilities the chance to access sport outside of school.

Camp ActivateCamp Activate will be taking place at Tidworth Leisure Centre in the school holidays. The programme is for 5 – 14 years and can be booked as either a half or full day. For information on booking and prices please see page 26.
A new health and wellbeing centre for the Pewsey area, which will provide a range of leisure and community facilities, is moving forward as work on site begins this summer.
The Vale Health and Wellbeing Centre will provide a brand new four lane 25 metre swimming pool as well as fitness suite, café, community space and a range of other leisure facilities. Space will also be included for an indoor skate park where people can skateboard, scoot and BMX. The library, which is located a short distance from the new centre, also provides community meeting space and a changing places facility for those with highly complex needs. For the duration of the build, leisure centre users are able to access the fitness suite and exercise classes at SSI House, Fordbrook Business Centre, Marlborough Road, SN9 5NU.
New customers are always welcome and can currently take advantage of the special deals for combined memberships to access both the fitness suite and exercise classes available.
Customers can also use the facilities at other leisure centres with details available at www.wiltshire.gov.uk/leisure
Young people are welcome to use our fitness suite at SSI House, Fordbrook Business Centre from the age of 12*. The supervised junior gym sessions are available once an induction has been completed. Current junior gym supervised sessions are below:

Nut free and medicationPlease do not bring any form of nut related snacks/products as we may have some participants enrolled onto our programmes that are allergic. Any participant who is on any form of medication (including inhaler) will need to label their medication clearly and hand to the head coach upon arrival each day.
Kit checklist• Wear appropriate sports kit and trainers
• Plenty of food and drink to last participants throughout the day
• Sun hat and sun cream (to be re-applied throughout the day if needed)
• Waterproofs and perhaps a small towel (outdoor camps)
• Please leave valuables at home
