Title HO1 regulation via miRNA: An Enigma in lateral root development Abstract HO1 is a multifunctional enzyme, projected to play key role in the defence and developmental systems in plants. Participation of HO 1 in the root development framework has been sought to some extent, but its actual association with other aspects of this organization still remains unexplored. Auxins are the major phytohormones regulating the root development pathway, which are themselves controlled by the complex miRNA network. HO 1 also mediates the lateral root emergence through auxins. Auxins work in conjecture with both miRNA’s and HO 1 portraying a connection between the two processes. We propose lateral root development as a function of the enzyme Heme oxygenase 1 regulated via miRNA’s. This appears to be a complex network where the miRNA family regulates HO 1 expression, leading to differential accumulation of auxins, causing pattern formation.

HO1 regulation via miRNA: An Enigma in lateral root developmentAbstract

HO1 is a multifunctional enzyme, projected to play key role in the defence and developmental systems in plants. Auxins work in conjecture with both miRNAs and HO 1 portraying a connection between the two processes. We propose lateral root development as a function of the enzyme Heme oxygenase 1 regulated via miRNAs. This appears to be a complex network where the miRNA family regulates HO 1 expression, leading to differential accumulation of auxins, causing pattern formation.
