Wednesday, September 23 from 10-11 am, HORT 217Coffee Hour. Drop in to interact with your colleagues. Graduate Students, this is your chance to chat

with faculty. Please bring your own cup.

Wednesday, September 23 from 2:30-4:15 pm, Lilly Nature Center

The Purdue students in Professor Mindy Appold’s Landscape Architecture LA325 have been busy

imagining a landscape design for the Summit Street gathering space in the Northwestern Heights

Neighborhood. Please come and share your comments and help in their learning process.

September 24. Bruce Bordelon, Paul Howard and others from the Purdue Wine Grape Team will hold a

Fall Workshop. Attendees will tour viticulture research plots at the Meigs Horticulture Research Farm

and enology labs in the Nelson Hall of Food Science.

HLA Tailgate lunch September 25 from 12 noon to 1 pm in the Hort. Garden under the E.C. Stevenson

Pavilion…please bring your favorite tailgate dish and drink.

Steve Weller just returned from a 2 week trip to Nigeria working on cassava weed management with

IITA on a Gates funded 5 year project. Upon his return, he will be on the Purdue campus for the week of

September 20 before returning to Michigan for completion of his sabbatical leave.

The Purdue Student Farm will be vending at two local farmers’ markets May-October

Wednesdays 4-7 pm West Lafayette Farmers’ Market Cumberland Park

Thursdays 11-3 pm Purdue Farmers’ Market Memorial Mall
