Expanded Hit Location Tables by Nigel Clarke The standard hit location chart used for the optional Critical Hit system in Chivalry and Sorcery 3rd edition fails to account for any other target than those of humanoid form. I have written up some charts and text covering the quadruped, winged quadruped, winged biped, and winged vermiform body types to try and deal with most eventualities. • The Muscular Tail

Slashing Weapon: Tail slashed and target incapacitated if weapon does 1/2+ Max. Body in total damage after armour reduction, etc. producing a "slow kill" (3 Body points lost per 10 min. without medical attention). Should the target fail a STAMINA roll -50%, they are incapacitated by the pain. Heavy slashing weapon cuts the tail in two for a quick and spectacular kill.Crushing Weapon: Severe blow if weapon does 1/2+ Max. Body in total damage after armour reduction, etc. Victim fails to the ground and can do nothing because of the impact and pain if they fail a WILLPOWER roll -30%. Heavy crushing weapon fractures spine and paralyses the tail of the target instantly unless its is a large beast weighing over 500lbs (225kg), which has the bone structure and musculature to withstand such a vicious blow.Piercing Weapon: Impaled if the piercing weapon does 1/2+ Max. Body in total damage after armour reduction, etc. Victim fails to the ground and can do nothing due to the pain if they fail a WILLPOWER roll -30%. Heavy piercing weapon inflicts a mortal wound by ripping through major arteries etc.Missile Weapon: As for piercing weapon if arrow, etc., as for crushing weapon if slingstone, bullet, rock etc.; and as for slashing weapon if a thrown

    axe.

The Wing (Bat or Feathered type)

Slashing Weapon: Wing severely slashed and incapacitated if weapon does 1/2+ Max. Body in total damage after armour reduction, etc. Should the target fail a WILLPOWER roll -50%, they are incapacitated by the pain. Heavy slashing weapon completely severs the wing.Crushing Weapon: Wing broken if weapon does 1/2+ Max. Body in total damage after armour reduction, etc. Victim fails to the ground and can do nothing because of the impact and pain if they fail a WILLPOWER roll -25%. Heavy crushing weapon shatters the wing making it permanently useless.Piercing Weapon: Wing punctured if the piercing weapon does 1/2+ Max. Body in total damage after armour reduction, etc. Victim fails to the ground and can do nothing due to the pain if they fail a WILLPOWER roll -10%. Target flies with -25% penalty due to damage. Heavy piercing weapon inflicts a large wound by ripping through wing tissues etc. giving a -50% penalty on flying capability.Missile Weapon: As for piercing weapon if arrow, etc., as for crushing weapon if slingstone, bullet, rock etc.; and as for slashing weapon if a thrown axe.
