Pictures/Hit-A-Thon/Home Run Derby Procedures 1. Teams arrive at Kiwanis Field to check-in with Shooting Stars Photography 15-20 minutes before their scheduled picture time. 2. Each team will have their team parent or a team representative collect all the Hit-A-Thon/Home Run Derby money and bring it to the Hit-A-Thon/Home Run Derby information table located at McGarvey Field while the team is taking pictures. Money needs to be turned in as a team! 3. While the team is taking pictures donations will be counted. Raffle tickets will be counted for each player who turned in donations. Every $25 raised earns the player a raffle ticket. 4. The team representative will be given the team record sheet and field location for their team for Hit-A-Thon/Home Run Derby. Teams need to move quickly from Pictures to Hit-A-Thon/Home Run Derby to help keep the day moving on schedule. 5. The team representative or the assigned field coordinator will help record the longest hit or the points earned for Home Run Derby. 6. Once all players have hit, the team returns to the Hit-A-Thon/Home Run Derby information table to turn in their team record sheet and to receive any raffle tickets that have been earned by players.

Pictures/Hit-A-Thon/Home Run Derby Procedures

1. Teams arrive at Kiwanis Field to check-in with Shooting Stars Photography 15-20 minutes before their scheduled picture time.

Hit-A-Thon Procedures

Hit-A-Thon is for T-ball, A and AA Divisions All players in these divisions will hit off a tee.

1. Once at the assigned field, Managers are to line the team upaccording to the record sheet with helmets and bats ready to hit.

2. Each player gets 5 hits off of a tee. The longest hit is measuredand recorded on the team record sheet.

3. Once a team completes the Hit-A-Thon, the team representativemust go to the Hit-A-Thon information table where they will turnin the completed Hit-A-Thon record sheet for the team.

4. Raffle tickets will be given to the team representative todistribute to the players who earned them.

Home Run Derby Procedures

Home Run Derby is for AAA, Majors and Juniors Alls players in these divisions will hits balls pitched from a soft toss machine.

1. Once at the assigned field, Managers are to line the team upaccording to the team record sheet with helmets and bats ready tohit.

2. Each player gets 7 balls from the soft toss machine. Points arerecorded on the record sheet. See point break down below.

2. Once a team completes the Home Run Derby, the teamrepresentative must go to the Home Run Derby information tablewhere they will turn in the completed Home Run Derby recordsheet for the team.

3. Raffle tickets will be given to the team representative todistribute to the players who earned them.

Possible Points A ball hit over the fence is 10 points

A ball that hits the fence on a fly is 5 points A ball that reaches the OF grass on a fly is 3 pts

A ball hit in on the ground in fair territory is 1 pt.

In the event of a tie between 2 players, 2 first place trophies will be handed out. If more than 2 players tie, the players will be contacted to return to McGarvey field at 2:30 for a second round of hitting.
