HIT (windows) Step by Step Installation Instructions

Getting Started

It is recommended to read these instructions before installing or uninstalling HIT.

For a HIT installation user will needed

• HIT setup package (MSI package). • Windows 7 and XP operating system.

Installing

Starting Installtion

It takes a moment (with slow connections up to a few minutes) for the Installer to start after the command prompt appears, please wait.

Welcome dialog appears next.

Click Next to continue. The Cancel button closes HIT Installer.

Select location where you want HIT to be installed. Installation wizard offers "C:\Program Files\HIT\" by default and this is suitable for most of the users. Click Next to continue or Change... to browse into some other installation directory.

All needed pre-steps are now made and the wizard is ready to begin installation. Click Install to begin the installation or Back to return to selections.

Application is installed and the progress is shown in the dialog window. You can stop the current application installation with Cancel button.

When all installations are done, Finish button appears. When you click it, installation wizard exit. At this stage, the setup has also updated the tool registers.

Upgrading

If you want to upgrade HIT on your computer, you have to uninstall old version and install new version.

Uninstalling

Before uninstallation you should close HIT application. Uninstallation can be done by using operation systems "add/remove programs" feature. By selecting "Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Add/remove programs" you will get list of the programs in your PC. Browse the list and select "HIT x.y.z". Click "remove" to remove HIT from your PC.
