Process

• Area identified as a opportunity for improvement using a Mini Kaizen to achieve quick results.

• All shifts have offered input as to the potential layout of the room and a general agreement reach.

• Conduct 5-S audit and activities to remediate notable deficiencies. Modify work surfaces to accommodate new microwave processors to address ergonomic height issues. Improve overall 5-S score and establish visual reference standards and ownership for the area.

• General rules for Kaizen were upheld, (1) No people, No money and No space (2) Is everyone aware, can it be easily undone, and is and one going to be hurt from an ergonomic or patient safety stand point.
