PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

Dear Brothers, Sisters and loving young friends,

Jai Shree Ram!

We are now in the Festive Season and fast approaching the end of 2018. Excitement is in the air as we look

forward to the upcoming Festivals of Diwali, Govardhan Pooja and the New Year Celebrations. After a glorious

Navratre Celebration, all efforts are now focused on the biggest Festival of India, “Diwali” which is enjoyed by

ALL – children and adults. As always, Mandir is planning to organize this Festival of Lights in the true spirit

and revive memories of India.

Special Navratre Jagran held on October 13th was a grand success, as Raj Tiwari from India, sang melodious

Bhajans and Mata Ki Bhente, which was enjoyed by one and all. The Mandir was beautifully decorated with

Chunnis, Bells, Kalash etc and efforts were made to create the pious Mata Vaishno Devi Darbar. Devotees from

far and wide came to seek Blessings from Mata Rani on this special occasion, and the Host Family had made

excellent arrangements for serving Food & Prasad. My THANKS to all the Volunteers and Members of the

Board who helped in Parking and other areas.

Another memorable Katha held during the month gone by, was “Gopika Virah Geet” by Swami Nalinanand

Giri Ji Maharaj from Oct. 21st to Oct 26th. This Topic was unique and held for the first time ever in HOM.

Swami Ji is a powerhouse of Knowledge, Wisdom and Melody. Accompanied by renowned Musicians (Parvez

Hussain on the Tabla & Kirit Thakkar on the Harmonium) this 5Day Katha with Sunderkand on 6th Day was

a treat for the Mind and Soul, and a life-time experience for all the Devotees who attended. My Humble Thanks

to Swami Ji, and as people are already looking forward to his next visit, we would love to welcome him again &

again, and get enriched with his graceful presence and enlightened thoughts.

On the 27th of Oct, Karva Chauth, the fasting day for all married women was celebrated with great enthusiasm.

Pandit Dinesh Kumar did a wonderful job of reciting the Katha. Special arrangements had also been made for

Tea, Juice, Milk, Snacks etc for those who would like to open their fast after the Pooja, and also, for the

husbands/children/family who had come with the ladies. My special thanks to Manisha Garg, Bubbly Wadhwa,

Anita Rawal, Madhu Gupta, Pushpa Hardev Raj & Sheela for taking the lead and organizing the entire program

in a very professional manner. It was wonderful to see hundreds of Ladies, dressed in their best attires &

jewelry, come to the temple to offer prayers and do Poojas for the health & wellbeing of their husbands.

To conclude, I would like to invite you all to come and celebrate Diwali with us on Nov. 7th with Diyas, Sweets,

Fire Crackers, Pooja & Bhajans. Also, on Nov. 11th We shall be organizing the popular “Annakut” where we

offer “Chappan Bhog” to Lord Krishna. It is amazing to see every year, mountains of Food Items displayed at

the Lotus Feet of the Lord, and then “Prasad” relished by ALL the Fortunate Devotees!!!

As always, please feel free to send your feedback and suggestions for the improvement and growth of your

Temple. I, along with my Team, shall always try to SERVE you better.
