blessed to share her table with friends. So pull up a

ABOUT
Welcome to the light of Saint Lucy
So, the low-down on Lucy - she was a fiery 4th century
sicilian, whose bravery, heroism and typically gory end
(google it), saw her become sainted and now associated
with all things light and illuminative.
Great, but how exactly does she relate to a cafe you ask?
Well, apart from the obvious nod to UQ’s address (we are
situated on the ‘St Lucia’ cane plantations purchased by
William Wilson in the 1860s), our menu is inspired by her
italian heritage and we like to think that her great courage
and tenacity makes her both an ideal fit for our team and
the perfect enlightened vision for our venue.
Besides, who wouldn’t want a little saintly patronage?

ABOUT
Welcome to the light of Saint Lucy

Saint Lucy loves nothing more than a good feast. A nibble
of this, a little something of that and plenty of whatever
is in that divine dish by Aunt Carmel’s right elbow. She
doesn’t mind a glass or two of vino either and feels
blessed to share her table with friends. So pull up a
pew and take pleasure in the ethereal glos of her
