The Problem
● Residents currently struggle with communication ○ Submission of Issues○ Acknowledgment of Request○ Updates of the Request
The System
● Created a System to help interaction between Tenants and Management○ Tenants more informed○ Management less likely to loss information
● Tenants will submit their request and the urgency ○ 3 levels
● Management will update the request through the process○ Acknowledge that the request is being processed○ What maintenance worker has been assigned○ If they are in transition of completing ○ When complete
Assumptions
● All tenants and employees already have an account with Highland Property Management
● Tenants can already pay online● Employees can enter in information about tenants● Work Orders would open in another tab for employees
SQL in the System
● Table creation and relationships● Queries
○ Management can filter by status of the requests○ Filter by the urgency of requests○ How many requests there are to be done○ See most recent requests
Lessons Learned
● Focus on the little details● Plan ahead of time● Make an outline before you produce● Think of all the what-ifs● Write down sample SQL prior to development
