High School Musical 2 - Audition Information
Thank you for your interest in auditioning for this year’s spring musical, High School Musical 2 . Please read ALL of
the information below to prepare yourself for your audition.
Audition Dates:
o You must come to an audition on either Mon. Nov. 2 or Thurs., Nov. 5
Sign up for a specific audition time on the list posted on the red bulletin board located just
outside of the choir room. Auditions will take place from 2-4:30 PM.
o Fri., Nov. 6th 2:00-4:30 PM – CALLBACKS
This audition is only for the people who are asked to attend. A list with first names and last
initials will be posted on Mrs. Rogers’ website Thursday evening. A paper copy of the list
will be hung by the choir room door on Friday morning.
At the callback you will be asked to read lines from the script and possibly sing again. You
will not need to prepare anything extra for the callback.
Callbacks will be held in the auditorium.
o Audition Requirements:
You will sing an excerpt of one song from High School Musical 2 for your initial individual
audition.
All Boys will sing, Bet on It.
Girls may choose between Gotta Go My Own Way and Fabulous.
Sheet music, practice tracks, and accompaniment tracks are all available on Mrs. Rogers’
teacher page. Please go there for more info.
o Required Paperwork:
You must bring the following items to your audition.
Completely filled out and signed permission slip. YOU WILL NOT BE CAST IN THE
SHOW WITHOUT A COMPLETELY FILLED OUT AND SIGNED PERMISSION SLIP!
NO EXCEPTIONS!
Resume – A template has been provided and is attached. You can just fill in the
required fields or type up your own in the same format.
A headshot or recent photo (if you have one) otherwise, we will take your picture
when you come for your audition.
o Things to consider before trying out:
Are you able to commit fully to the rehearsal schedule?
We rehearse Mon.-Thurs. 2:30 – 5PM, beginning December 14th
Dress Rehearsals are mandatory. All cast and stage crew members must attend the
entire dress rehearsal. No leaving early or arriving late.

Saturday, March 5 – 8AM – 6PM
Monday, March 7 – 2:30 PM – 6PM
Tuesday, March 8 – 6-9PM
Performances are mandatory. All cast and stage crew members are required to attend.

Performance Dates
Wednesday, Feb. 3 – 2:30 – 9PM – Broadway Cares rehearsal and performance @ CB East
Wednesday, March 9, 7AM – 2:30 PM – Performances for Lenape and incoming 6th graders
Thursday, March 10, 7 PM (call at 6 PM) – Performance
Friday, March 11, 7PM (call at 6PM) – Performance
Saturday, March 12, 2PM (call at 1 PM) & 7 PM (call at 6PM)
o If you are not able to FULLY commit to the rehearsal schedule you should not audition for the show.
Consider applying for a stage crew position instead, which will have a lighter schedule.
o Students who miss three rehearsals risk forfeiture of their role in the show.
o After school rehearsals are from 2:45-5PM. You must be picked up by 5:15PM. Students who are
picked up later than 5:15 PM more than twice WILL forfeit their role in the show.

activities. (examples include: dance class, music lessons, karate, CCD, Hebrew school, community sports teams, art classes, etc.)
