    March 2011Dear Student

Damelin Correspondence College policy dictates that our study material is continually updated to ensure that our learners studyrom material that meets the curriculum and assessment requirements o the Department o Basic Education. Furthermore,Damelin Correspondence College annually refnes its study material, based on eedback received rom learners and subjectmatter experts.

In 2010, Damelin Correspondence College conducted an in-depth review o all National Senior Certifcate (NSC) study material, and started a process to update all 45 NSC subjects (across Grades 10, 11 and 12). The reviews and updates were done by experteducators and curriculum advisors. Based on recommendations rom the Department o Basic Education in late 2010, DamelinCorrespondence College also updated the structure o the study material to make it easier or students to study (aligning thestructure to the 4-term school year), and to make the moderation o the internal assessments easier to administer.

The quality assurance o such a major project is a time-consuming but crucial process that has to ensure that all subjects aregiven the required attention, and that all study units are o a high standard. Damelin Correspondence College has signed o therelease o the new study material, which will be issued to learners over the next two weeks. The tables below indicate the datesrom when study material will be couriered to learners:

Please note: The below release dates apply to only Term 1

Please note: If learners have any problems with registering in a province, they should please contact Ms Alison August of DamelinCorrespondence College at [email protected]
