High ProductivityPush-Bak storage provides a very desirablecombination of high density and accessibility.Push-Bak storage density equals that of drive-instorage, yet every lane can be accessed at alltimes. Any lane can be 100% filled from theaisle without affecting any other adjacent lanesabove or below.

Stock RotationWhile Push-Bak is a reverse flow storagesystem that operates on a last-in-first-out (LIFO)basis, you can easily rotate your stock on afirst-in-first-out (FIFO) basis. You simply neverstore new lots in front of previous lots. This ismuch easier to accomplish in a Push-Bak rackbecause every level of every bay is accessiblefrom the aisle.

Lower CostPush-Bak storage, in spite of its higher initial cost,is actually less expensive than drive-in storagefor two reasons. First is the reduction of multiplehandling time. And second, it takes less Push-Bakrack and less storage space to provide the samestorage capacity as a drive-in rack.

Consider this. Drive-in rack provides a typicalutilization factor of about 60%. This means thaton any given day “honeycombing” in the rackresults in only about 60% of the available spacesbeing used. Push-Bak provides utilization of90% or more if it is correctly applied. To realisti-cally store 1,000 pallets in drive-in you needabout 1,600 pallet positions. With Push-Bak,practically every pallet position is utilized. Thatcould even mean a smaller warehouse.

Ridg-U-Rak ExclusivesFeatures• 2 to 9 pallet lane depth

• Reduced slope

• Rigid box framed carts

Patent Pending Design -Made in USAThe unique features of Ridg-U-Rak Push-Bak resultin the ideal combination of smooth, low resistancemovement and low profile. The patent-pending designis a significant advance in Push-Bak storage technology.

Low Stacked HeightRidg-U-Rak Push-Bak carts telescope to keep verticalspace requirements as small as possible. In a five deepsystem, for example, vertical differential from the aislepallet to the 5th pallet is only 5".

Safe ClearanceRidg-U-Rak Push-Bak

systems are designed toprovide 4" horizontal clear-

ance on both columnsand 8" horizontal clear-

ance between pallets.

System FlexibilityRidg-U-Rak has been providing pallet rack storage solutions for morethan 50 years. This broad experience is very evident in Ridg-U-Rak Push-Bak systems.

Using components certified to the standards of the Rack ManufacturersInstitute, Ridg-U-Rak can design a Push-Bak system that meets yourspecific requirements. Lane heights and depths can be supplied in a widevariety of combinations. In fact, Ridg-U-Rak can provide free flowing, manageable Push-Bak lanes up to 9 pallets deep.

Telescoped cartsystem providesadequate clearancebetween carts andprovides the widestposition to thedeepest and“heaviest” pallet.

Design For Trouble-Free Operation

Cart linkagehas lockingengagement toprevent overextension.

J channel stops preventcarts from being accidentallyuplifted out of system.

Superior, Heavy Duty Wheels & BearingsLarge, coated Ridg-U-Rak wheels with sealed bearings (at left)contrast with ordinary Push-Bak wheels. Larger wheels provide

greater strength and ease of operation, and sealed-for-lifeself-lubricated bearings permit wash down without corrosion.

Box frame carts nestcompactly. Front ofall carts are at thesame aisle positionfor consistent palletpositioning.

Operating Sequence - 5 Deep System

Designed with the Operator in MindThe easier a Push-Bak system is to use, the more productive astorage tool it becomes. Ridg-U-Rak Push-Bak simplifies palletplacement, requires less force to move pallets, and is fitted withsafety features that aid the lift truck operator.

Fifth and final pallet is placed onrails and indicates a full lane.
