FIRECUT XD - KEY FEATURES

EDGE PRO CNC CONTROL

The FIRECUTXD high performance CNC plasma cutting machine combines the highest quality hardware and software to produce near laser cut quality on mild steel. Using Hypertherm’s TrueHole technology and advanced drive tuning t echniques, w e are able to p roduce bolt ready holes w ith a plate thickness to hole diameter ratio of less than one to one.

The FIRECUTXD incorporates a highly efficient sectional fume table reducing the size o f the fume extraction system r equired, compared t o other machines.

Available in compact versions (up to 4m by 2m) and rail mounted versions (up to 12m by 5m). Cut parameters are embedded into the CNC files using Pronest nesting and cut optimisation software, and loaded onto the machine via Ethernet cable or USB stick, greatly reducing the chance of operator error.

This is the brains of the system, controlling all aspects of the cutting process. The 15 inch SAW (surface acoustic wave) touch screen provides a reliable operator interface and feedback from all components of the system. The Cutpro Wizard allows new operators to cut production parts in less than 5 m inutes. A ll cutting parameters are built i n, e liminating operator e rror. N etwork access provides part program loading, remote help and software updates.

ARC GLIDE TORCH HEIGHT CONTROLThis heavy duty, extremely accurate, height control system increases the number of parts cut per day by 100% and increases the consumable life by 300% without the need for operator intervention. The magnetic torch breakaway, with rapid reinstall and laser pointer for torch alignment, reduces set up times and minimizes down time. Hypernet connectivity allows full control from the CNC and feeds back a ll data, a llowing the remote d iagnostics to b e accessed from anywhere with Internet connection.

The a rgon m arking f eature of t he auto gas systems allows seamless s witching between m arking and cutting w ithout t he need t o change consumables. Profiles can be marked with identification numbers and letters before being cut out. This feature has numerous other uses, i ncluding m arking bend lines and c reating templates for the position of welded parts.

PRONEST NESTING AND CUT OPTIMIZATION SOFTWARE

Pronest nesting and cut optimization software is used t o embed t he part programme w ith all the required cutting techniques developed over m any years. This enable even t he novice operator t o produce t he h ighest quality plasma cut parts every time.

HIGH PRECISION MOTORS & ENCODERS

Heavy-duty AC servo m otors, w ith high quality encoders, connect t o anti-backlash gearboxes and p inions which are controlled using advanced t uning t echniques. This provides the power and accuracy required to produce near laser cut quality on mild steel. They a lso supply the acceleration and deceleration required to cut TrueHoles.

ENCLOSED RACKS & LINEAR SLIDES

Our long axis racks and linear slides are protected from sparks and falling debris which could otherwise cause expensive damage, and therefore greatly reduce the need for regulator maintenance.

High quality fume extraction units, w ith fully automatic f ilter c leaning, a re available to suit all sizes of machine and cutting systems.

AUTOMATIC BEARING &SLIDE LUBRICATION

Specially f ormulated lubricating oil is pumped automatically t o every linear bearing, g reatly extending t he life of expensive parts and ensuring smooth motion, essential for high quality cutting.

OXYFUEL CUTTING TORCH

By mounting one end of the bridge on bearings we ensure that i t doesn’t twist if t he t able expands due to the heat produced by the cutting process. This ensures parts being cut square.
