Results provided from the HIE include:Results provided from the HIE include:

Where Results File in eClinicalWorks

1. On the main page there are buttons in the upper right hand corner of the screen. They are referred to as Jelly Beans.

All results that successfully pass to eClinical Works will file to the associated provider’s Jelly Bean and to the patient’s chart.

Incoming results that do not have matching patient information will go to the “Reconcile Interface Results” screen. This will be discussed later.

2. Click on the D (Document) Jelly Bean to view Transcribed Documents.

Click on the L (Lab) Jelly Bean to view Radiology and Lab results.

1. Perform a patient lookup.

2. Enter the patient’s name. Select the patient and click to display the patient hub box.

3. Click on Labs in the upper left hand corner of the Patient Hub to view lab reports.

Click on DI to view Radiology reports

4. In associated pop-up, click onthe paperclip to view the actual result.

4. There is more than one way to view documented results. One way is to click on Progress Notes from the Patient Hub.

5. From Progress Notes click on the DRTLA Tab.

Click on the report you’d like to view under the Documents Tab

6. When you click on the report under the Documents Section, a new window will open showing Document Details.

Click View.

7. After clicking view, the report will launch in HTML format (web browser).

View and Resolve Results “In Error”

1. Click on File on the top of the eClinicalWorks tool bar. Click on Reconcile Interface Results.

2. Select which interface to view from the Labs dropdown.

You may also filter based on date, patient, provider or facility.

Note: For St. John Providence employed providers these errors will reside in one Reconcile Interface Results report because it is a single shared database. All private providers will have their own Reconcile Interface Results report that is only accessible by that office.

3. The results that need reconciling will appear and show the reason for the error on the far right side of the screen. The most common reason for error is patient match was not found.

Click on the result.

4. The failed result screen will open. This particular result did not match up to an existing patient in the database. Click on the square next to the Patient name box.

5. Type in the patient’s name in the Search Patient box. Select the correct patient and click OK.

Note: If the patient does not exist, you will need to create the patient by clicking New.

6. The failed result screen will re-openwith the patient’s name correctly filled in. Click Reconcile.

7. Click Yes on the pop-up window asking you if you want to post the result to the patient.

8. Click OK on the next pop-up window.

In eClinicalWorks if both Patient Not Found and Test Not Found is the error- this result stays “Locked” in this Reconcile Report and will not route to the provider’s Jelly Bean nor to the patient’s chart.

Workaround options are:

1. Print the report and scan it into the patient’s chart.

2. Enter the results manually into the patient’s Chart.

Note: For St. John Providence employed providers there is one Interface Dashboard because there is a single shared database. Access to that report is currently restricted to the IT Support Team and query requests can be sent to the eClinical Works IT Support team. . All private providers will have their own Interface Dashboard that is only accessible by that office. 12

4. Click Results

5. Select the type of result you’d like to

view. MHC (Michigan Health Connect)

1. MHC-DR = Documented Results

2. MHC-LAB = Laboratory

3. MHC-RAD = Radiology

6. Configure parameters (select dates) and click on Run Report.

7. On the right hand side of the screen the status of the report will appear as either passed or failed. Failed reports will not flow to the provider’s Jelly Bean nor will it pass to the patient’s chart.

If the report failed, it will need to be reconciled.
