Designed by Shannon Dunbabin Skill Level: Easy Sizes: 12”, 14”, 16”, 18” Shown in 16" size Materials Cascade Yarns® Heritage Prints 75% Superwash Merino Wool / 25% Nylon 100 g (3.5 oz) / 437 yds (399.6 m) 1 skein of color #30 (Tomatoes) US 3 (3.25 mm) 16” circular needle (for 16” and larger sizes) US 3 (3.25 mm) double point needles (for all sizes) Stitch Marker Yarn Needle Gauge: 7 sts = 1”

Abbreviations CO = Cast On K = Knit P = Purl Begin Pattern: CO 84 (98, 108, 126) sts. Join in round – careful not to twist. Place marker to mark beginning of round. *(K2, P2) repeat from * to end of round. Continue with Ribbed pattern for 1”. K for 4.5” (5”, 5.5”, 6”) Note: Piece should measure 5.5” (6”, 6.5”, 7”) from cast on edge. Do 3 Needle Bind off as follows: Turning work inside out, move to 2 needles with half of work on each needle With 2 needles parallel, insert a 3rd needle knitwise into the first stitch of each needle. Wrap the yarn around the needle as if to knit. Knit these 2 stitches together and slip them off the needle. Knit the next 2 stitches together (same manner). Slip the first stitch on the 3rd needle over the 2nd stitch and off the needle. Continue until all stitches are bound off. Finishing: Weave in ends. Note: (For the smaller sizes you should be able to get 3 hats out of 1 skein. For the larger sizes, you will get at least 2 hats out of 1 skein.)
