what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products

• Me and my group definitely know that our finished media product it is fit for the genre and as the purpose of a film opening. We have chosen “thriller subverted by action and fantasy” and I believe that we have archived making it the genre we want. We have made it very clear to the audience what genre our movie is. We have done this by looking at our language props a little bit of violence and the lightning. The genre we used was horror- thriller -Thriller is a genre that gives that audience suspense tension and excitement. Horror genre gives the audience a primal fear they normally overlap with the thriller genre .

• Our film opening is very unique because we made it in our own style because it was about bullying that happens in everyday life. Normally people show how the bullied victim is feeling but we wanted to make it different by showing how the actual bullies life's are. We wanted to give our movie a twist that no one else has given before we have related it to only a few movies which are “unknown” “safe” this is because them two movies are already unique and no one else has made a movie like there's so we decided to put them to movies together to make it the perfect unique move for example the first moments in the movie trailer we wanted to show their life like in a normal trailer they will just show a robbing or action scene we have done that also but we decided to make this a introduction for the character the movie trailer I can relate with this is batman because they show the joker robbing a bank at the start which brings action into the movie trailer but it does not bring affect on the audience. We wanted to make a movie that gives the audience that you should appreciate who you are and what you have got because our character has a good life and he's life tends to go bad. Our movie is very like unknown this is because the main charter has everything on his life but he lived a bad life but then he loses it all and he wants to find himself again

• We have included credits like the other movies this is because it looks more professional for example like the man with the iron fists they have credits all the way through like ours.

Also our settings was very hard t do we wanted to make it harder for the characters to find each other so we decided to make the new character to wake up at the opposite side of England so this would make it a harder challenge to get the character back to his original self. We have made it unique so there isn't any other movie that has done this but another movie that relates to ours is big

• Setting and location- this is what gave us the main problems because we had to make the location realistic to the storyline and to the audience for example you can’t have a fight in Greggs. We tried using the outside area the most because the character is lost and he wont have anywhere to go and when he did go to his house his father don’t believe who he is

• the use of music is a key part in this because music makes it more realistic ad it makes the whole vibe of our movie when you watch a trailer without a sound track it does not look good for example if our trailer did not have the music it would not look and sound fantastic. For example the movie safe had subtle music it never went over the top like we did but the music we put in had the whole plot of the movie “everything must change”

The main codes and conventions we used and we were focusing on : Props- we have made the characters wear the same clothes with this we have made it very clear that the charters have changed also we have showed the charter change by doing the shot when the charters were in the same place but the camera had a effect then we changed. I think we successfully done this because no one else has used the same idea as ours this is very unique.

Camera angles and shots in all of our shots we had to make sure that our camera angles are good we had to make sure that in all of our angles we never had that much headroom and we can get emotion from our shots and angles. We have done lots of angle shots but we also wanted the shots to match our genre for example we always show close ups on kallam because he is meant to be the main charter and he is meant to be a villain. Our acts • Act one we show how kallam is and we show kallam getting hit by a car and he turns into someone else. In safe

act 1 the girl goes missing. In unknown everything is good at the start.

• But then in act 2 he wakes up in a different location and this is where the problems occur. Act 2 he looks for the girl. On unknown Then he forgets who he is and he is in a car crash.

• Act three kallam/Farhan is looking for each other they will not know if they find each other and at the end they get to see each other. And act three he finds the girl and tries to protect her. Then he tries to find himself.

Antagonist and Protagonist • The Antagonist in our movie trailer is the character Farhan this is because we follow him throughout

the movie but we only follow the character kallam in the start scene this is because we want to follow Farhan lifestyle and how is he going to get kallam he's body back. They are both bad character but we do not show this but we show they are in opposite parts of England so the character Farhan has to find he's way home and try to return he's body the way he is. This is because we wanted to show to people that you should appreciate what you have got and also you should not take what you have got for a joke. Also we wanted to show the culture difference between the characters this is what we couldn’t show in our trailer there would be no time. So we have try something untie in our movie to how there differences.

• The protagonist is also both characters this is after the accident because first kallam is bad and this happened he might think it has got something to do with religion or something else so we decided to make kallam good after the accident. With doing this the movie got confusing but we did this because it is the counter stereotype like batman for example the antagonist are meant to wear black clothes and the protagonist are meant to wear good clothes but in batman the batman wears dark clothes and the joker wears light clothes with this this makes a counter stereotype and it also subverts the genre

Ancillary texts • The main task of our movie is to get the characters back together this is very hard to do so we

couldn’t show it in the trail so at the end of the trailer we show the characters meeting up. Throughout the movie both characters have been looking for each other and at the end they finally get to meet each other then the trailer finishes on a cliff hanger this makes the audience want to know more about the movie. This is because if you find out everything you wouldn’t want to see the movie the amazing spiderman let the audience know the whole plot in their trailer. We did not want to make the same mistake as them this would make us lose customers.

• Release date we have made that at the top by doing this we have made it very clear for the audience to see. This is because lots of different movie posters do not show this and people do not know when they released.

• Credits we have put this at the bottom so it is their but people would not get to read it because the information is not really important. We have puts some company logos at the bottom to make our movie poster more realistic.

• Title we have made the title clear at the right place to we have to make sure the audience know what the name of the movie is so they don’t end up watching the wrong movie.

• Main characters we have put the two main characters ahead so the audience know about who the main charters are and this will make it simple and the poster is different.

• Barcode we have the barcode at the bottom this is to show the realism of a movie magazine cover.

• Other stories we have got other stories on the front cover this is to show the magazine has more interesting things other then or movie poster.

• Movie title we have put the title in the same space but in a different fonts this font is going to suit the magazine cover.

• Main characters we have put the two main characters ahead so the audience know about who the main charters are and this will make it simple and the poster is different.

Final cut• We have used final cut throughout our project this will help

our editing go more smoothly and with all of our shots this will go smooth. So they wont be any bad and rough cuts so this will make our money run more smoothly and it has some after effects like cctv this made our movie look more professional.

• We have used this to make our titles this is very good it look professional and it looks like a real professional person has made the titles when we have used after effects for our titles.

Photoshop• We used Photoshop for our magazine and movie poster this is to

show our editing skills and to make our more professional with Photoshop we can do different types of fonts and different types of backgrounds so it was more useful for our group to use Photoshop. Also putting the two faces together needed Photoshop work done by putting the faces together and making them equal.

• We used to garage band to make our soundtrack everything must change with this we have made it original.

What we have learned from our feedback

• Asking our audience we have noticed that they mostly like there movies ending on a cliff hanger.

We have also found out that the movie trailer interests the people to watch the movie so the trailer needs to be exciting.

• Most of our audience want the trailer to be intense so we tried doing this all the way throughout.

We have made it equal we have chose the same amount of males and females so it is equal.

• We can see our audience like thriller and horror the most and we wanted to make a fantasy movie so we could not combine them because them genres do not go together and no one has made a movie with them combined genres.

Our audience wanted to see a short trailer which does not give out all the detail of the movie within two minutes so we tried keeping it short and brief.

• As a group we feel like we have successfully met our targets we have made our movie trailer end in a cliff hanger this is what the audience want we have also made the movie trailer finish quickly and also we have tried to make our movie trailer intense all the way throughout. We have kept the movie trailer short as possible so people do not get bored of it and lose interest so we decided to put in all the action shots and show a bit of the storyline in the trailer.
