Movie night raises $1,000 for kids in needThe big screen and big hearts came together for our latest charity event on the 13th September which raised more than $1,000 for kids in need.

A packed house at Caloundra Cinemas “went wild” for madagascar 3 – europe’s most wanted, with all proceeds of the family movie night going to the Currimundi Special School.

The evening was an outstanding success with all 150 tickets sold. It makes me so proud to see the community pulling together to help make a difference.

I would like to thank all the Caloundra businesses that swung behind the cause, all the Henzells staff who put so much work into making the night a success, and the people who opened their hearts and wallets to support the kids at Currimundi Special School.

Special thanks should go to roy and Julie Henzell for donating a night at rumba and a Channel Bar voucher, the mooo Char Bar and Chilli Jam Cafe for donating dinners for two and the Caloundra rSL for providing food and beverage vouchers.

Sunshine Coast Building and Pest was another big contributor, buying 20 tickets for Currimundi kids to attend the event while others also chipped in to purchase tickets for families doing it tough.
