BUSINESS MANAGEMENT & STRATEGY • Developing, contributing to, and supporting Hempfield School District’s mission, vision, values, strategic goals and objectives • Formulating and updating policies • Guiding and leading the change process • Evaluating organizational effectiveness WORKFORCE PLANNING AND EMPLOYMENT • Developing, implementing, and evaluating • Sourcing, recruitment, hiring, orientation • Succession planning, retention, and exit programs necessary to ensure the workforce’s ability to achieve Hempfield School District’s goals and objectives HR DEVELOPMENT • Developing, implementing, and evaluating activities and programs that address employee training and development • Performance appraisal, and talent and performance management to ensure that the knowledge, skills, abilities, and performance of the workforce meet current and future district needs and individual needs COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS • Developing/selecting, implementing/administering, and evaluating compensation and benefit programs for all employee groups EMPLOYEE AND LABOR RELATIONS • Developing, implementing/administering, and evaluating the workplace in order to maintain relationships and working conditions that balance employer/employee needs and rights RISK MANAGEMENT • Developing, implementing/administering, and evaluating programs, procedures, and policies in order to provide a safe, secure working environment and to protect Hempfield School District from potential liability SENIOR TAX WORKER PROGRAM SUBSTITUTE Hempfield School District, in a commitment to offer real estate tax relief to the senior citizens of our district, implemented a Senior Tax Worker Program. This program offers senior citizens the opportunity to apply for a position as a substitute employee for the district and to designate their net pay after taxes to an account to be applied against their tax bill. As of July 1, 2010, the program was expanded to accommodate senior citizens who cannot work directly in the program. To apply for this program, senior citizens must complete the application process at the Hempfield Administration Building, 200 Church Street, Landisville, PA 17538. PARENT/COMMUNITY VOLUNTEER What better way to give back to your community than by investing in the future! If you have a few hours to spare, the Hempfield School District is looking for parents and community members who are interested in joining our volunteer team. Volunteering can be a fun and fulfilling way to help your local school district. We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities from tutoring students to coaching sports to administrative tasks and much more.
