Public Speaking

Hemmingford Elementary

School will once again be host-

ing Mrs. Ellerton and the Wom-

en’s Institute for our public

speaking on May 17. Parents

are welcome to come and

watch the presentations start-

ing at 8:30 AM.

Student coalition is a group of students from each N.F.S.B

school who get together at Howard S. Billings in Chateau-

guay.

Student coalition is all about problem solving and meeting

new people. This year our school worked on the lunch

hour because it was really loud. Each school has to have a

goal that they want to accomplish.

At the second to last meeting, we worked on an iMovie. In

our iMovie, we had our goals and that we had achieved

and our future goals for our school. You also get an awe-

some free sweater and pizza at the last meeting!

Take a Book

Administrative Professionals Day

Wednesday, April

26 was Adminis-

trative Profes-

sionals Day. The

HES staff and

students sur-

prised Sylvie with

flowers and kind

hand-written

notes.

This is a reminder to parents of

grade 6 students that the end-

of-year exams have begun.

Regular attendance for exams

is extremely important. The

exams take place over extend-

ed periods of time to minimize

the time spent each day.

Trip to Parc Safari Hemmingford Elementary School is going to Parc Safari on June 5, 2017. We are inviting par-

ents to volunteer and participate in this event. All parent volunteers are required to have a

completed criminal reference check to volunteer for events like this. If you are interested in

attending, please complete the paperwork at the school by May 12, 2017.

Student Coalition

Hemmingford Elementary

School has started a new initia-

tive. We have a take-a-book

shelf in the hallway. Please feel free to

help yourself to one to two books at a

time for your children. The shelf is

located just past the entrance to the

right.
