• Wet scrubbers utilize water and/or other chemically-
based scrubbing solutions to remove the harmful contaminants from industrial exhaust gas
• In accordance with various chemical and mechanical
principles, contaminated air mixes with the scrubbing solution within the scrubber
• Fumes and vapors are transferred to the scrubbing
solution and cleaner air is exhausted to atmosphere • Typically the scrubbing solution is recycled with a
small amount of freshwater added to make up for evaporative losses. A smaller amount of scrubbing solution is discharged to wastewater to prevent the build up of salts and collected contaminants

Packed Bed • A vessel that is filled with a packing media of various shapes and sizes.
The packing can be randomly filled or specifically designed with a structured media.

• Hydro-Lance® system utilizes SAVe (Submerged-Air-Venturi) technology combined with time proven Venturi collection methodology
• Static pressure induced by an exhaust fan draws the sump water and dust-laden air stream into an inverted Venturi throat.
• Turbulent mixing of dust and small droplets form an agglomerate, which is returned to the sump where water is reused and particulate matter dissolved or settled out and collected as a sludge at the conical bottom.
• Entrained mists are collected on a high efficiency mist eliminator.
